This feels still... wrong, but hopefully this will of some worth in the end. The end which I now feel could be Sidious killing Maul. If it's an Imperial, it deserves to die.

It does feel a bit contrived, doesn't it? Like there was a "Who can we bring back?" meeting and the Maul fanboy won the argument. Don't get me wrong, I love Maul and I'm glad he's back. it's just the he got cut in half at the waist once and when we first see him alive again, he's back with an Ace bandage wrapped around his waist. Other, more powerful Sith and Jedi, seem to have died from a lot less. Sidious was dropped from a similar height and wasn't cut in half. Yet Sidious died (sort of, his body did anyway). It was after all, in the time period of the Clone Wars. I think that given Palpatine's well established ability for "essence transfer" and the fact the he all but raised Maul, they might have come up with a better resurrection device than "his hate kept him alive and he force humped a giant spider" or whatever they are trying to pass along there. I know it would be a more complicated explanation to have Uncle Palpie show up on Naboo and transfer Mauls essence to a cloned Zabrak body, but I have confidence that Dave Filoni et al, could have pulled it off. As for Sidious killing Maul... nah... I want to see Obi Wan cut him in half again. Edited 1 time by revmacd Apr 26 12 7:40 AM.

"Darth Maul was the only action figure I bought before seeing 'Phantom Menace' at the movies. This insanely-evil-fighting machine with a double-bladed lightsaber just stole the show," Taylor said. "After seeing the movie, I felt cheated, and I wasn't alone. One of the single best-looking badasses in the entire 'Star Wars' universe went and got chopped in half and fell down a hole. A hole! The same thing happened to Boba Fett. Great-looking man of mystery -- unceremoniously dumped in a hole. "There's a cliché in comics and film, and story in general, that people don't stay dead. But I'll tell you this; if no one cares about the character, they don't come back. They stay in their literary coffins and fade away," Taylor continued. "However, there are characters who demand to exist. They're too appealing and too important to be confined to history. Darth Maul is definitely one of these. If it's an Imperial, it deserves to die.

Posts: 106 Jun 17 12 8:10 PM	Remove this ad I'm much more interested in this comic then the Cartoon. I don't know if it's cause Darth Maul was so underwhelming on the show or because I've really enjoyed Taylor's previous works.
