Mother Rell lived to be over 400 years old. Dathomir is a planet that is literally rich and seeping with the Force. Augwynne Djo could easily live to be Mother Rell's age. We know some venerable Force users have longer-than-usual lifespans. Mother Rell wasn't the only one. I recall Vima-Da-Boda as well as others. I do think it would be very rewarding if she were still alive and leading the Singing Mountain Clan.

I also had another thought and I don't think it will happen, but wouldn't it have been a good storytelling point to have the reactivated Antarian Rangers helping Luke and Ben in their travels?

Daala's placing all these restrictions and surveillance and whatnot on the Jedi Order, but I wonder if this extends to those groups/individuals who openly support them. Given that the Antarian Rangers are basically civilians who formed a group to look out for Jedi interests, any such attempts by her may anger the general population too. I mean, if she can do it to one group of civilians and get away with it, why not the rest?

I only mention it because I think it would've been a great avenue to pursue in terms of them giving Luke support, supplies and they could like... funnel messages back and forth from Luke to Cilghal and stuff. They have resources that Luke could definitely use. It makes sense to me.

I know that we've only had Abyss since this thread was created (and thus, we still have no confirmation of the groups slated for the rest of FOTJ), but I was just wondering if anyone had anything to add (or for those who haven't posted yet, fresh thoughts) on the topic.

I assume you mean apart from the Mind Walkers, who were brand new in Abyss.

3) Are we sure that Jacen never met the OneSith?

Yes, unless he met up with some randoms that weren't on Korriban in Inferno and Fury, because both those novels state that he never met with the One Sith (not counting Lumiya or Vergere, obviously).

Now that they've revealed the Force society for Conviction, what are peoples' thoughts for the final two books?

I still think they need to work the Jensaarai in to the series, and I don't think they will be used as the Final Group for Apocalypse. So that leaves them for Ascension. Golden did a great job with the Aing-Tii and she also world built the Lost Sith from the ground up, so I'm confident she can tackle the Jensaarai without them losing any of their inherent coolness factor.

And although this is nothing new for me, I still maintain that it would be fulfilling in so many ways if Luke and Ben ended up on Zonama Sekot for Apocalypse. Sure, the Yuuzhan Vong may not be a Force-using society, but for all we know, they may have started to become this way since TUF. I mean, its not like we've ever seen them since TJK, so anything could've happened since then. I just think it would be thematically fulfilling in so many ways, for Luke, for Ben, for Jacen, for the whole "quest for answers" deal, to tentatively cement the Jedi/Yuuzhan Vong relationship as presented in Legacy, because Abeloth is looking to boost her Force-powers (what greater way than with Sekot, and entire planetary consciousness), and for a few other reasons that I won't list right now because I don't want you to get bored.

Ignoring the Yuuzhan Vong, the only other option I can think of is another one dear to my heart: the Sorcerers of Rhand. For the finale, I can't really see anyone else havingthe oompf factor of the Rhandites or Yuuzhan Vong. The Followers of Palawa, Blazing Chain, teras kasi masters, etc just don't have the same impact.
