So much death lately.

In the cockpit of his StealthX heading for Hapes, Luke Skywalker felt a hand brush his hair, and as he reached out involuntarily to touch it, he knew his world had ended. ~ Luke Skywalker's reaction upon realizing his wife Mara had died

BILLY MAYS?!
We need like a "Graveyard" thread, or something of equally morbid stature, for all the death that goes on. |

Holy cow! I've been watching "Pitchmen" lately. He seemed like such a great guy. A real success story. Man oh man.

DO NOT WANT!!!!
(seriously) ---The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far... H.P Lovecraft. "The Call of Cthulhu" "Thiz one is perhapz too ferocious for a documentary children will watch." -Saba Sebatyne
Or should I say...kandy bloo.

Now it's reported he flew into Tampa on Saturday on a U.S. Airways flight that had a landing accident. It blew out the front tires when it touched down. A
spokesman for the airline said the worst injurues were "bumps and bruises" but in being interviewed after getting off the flight, Billy Mays said he
hit his head pretty hard. He laughed it off with a comment about how he had a hard head. It is now suspected that he may have suffered a concussion and instead
of going to the hospital to get checked out he went home instead. He went to bed with a headache and never woke up again.
To our international members, Billy Mays was a "Pitch Man". That is, he sold household product by doing live demonstrations of the product. While there are thousands of such pitchmen in the U.S. and around the world, Billy's high energy delivery and the high quality of the products he sold made him a stand out among his peers. He was most certainly a minor celebrity but just about everyone had heard of him or seen one of his commercials. He also had a reality show on The Discovery Channel that showed how he and his partner went about selecting the products they pitched and made the advertisements and such. He always seemed like a very genuine guy and was a tribute to how hard work can pay off with success.

Well, there's the third untimely celebrity death. I'm not superstitous (or however you spell it), but it always comes in threes.

I thought Ed McMahon was the first of the three.

He was 86; not an untimely death.

I have a theory that the Iranian government is whacking American celebs to divert attention from their election turmoil.
Actually I don't really believe that but once it is said someone inevitably quotes it and reposts it until twenty years from now there is a History Channel special on it.

Turns out it was Heart Disease. Narrowing of the blood vessels around the heart. No sign of head injury at all.

The bump to the head on the flight didn't do him in, but the flight could have played a role itself. High altitudes and heart disease don't mix.
