Maybe some that is gene related with Sella? What other jedi where at Yavin? Wouldn't Ben show the same signs?

I thought it was a nice touch when Jag came in and "took care" of Jaina.

The Yavin temple was gone before Ben was born.
Most of the Jedi masters were trained at Yavin. I think the more likely place it came from was the eclipse base in the maw, but with an early book set there it's probably not going to be anything to do with that lol |

I assume you mean the Jedi craziness that is affecting the Maw children. I think I've said this before but I'm going to put it here officially. I don't think Ben is going to be affected and my reason is that Ben shut himself off from the Force when he was in the Maw. |

As far as I remember, Eclipse didn't last too long, and the Maw Base was active for the last few years of the war. It is probable that the Jedi's time
there could have influenced them.

It was the maw and i am guessing that the mind drinkers had something to do with whats happening.

Question | #209 | ||
|
Hi everyone. I haven't been here in a long time and just came through to see what has been going on. I do have a question about a comment made in Omen. On page 180, the last sentence was a comment made, I thought, by Jaina but it makes no sense. The comment was, "Dad, I'm right here." I don't know if I missed something or what but the statement doesn't seem to fit into the conversation. I've read it several times but still don't get it. Can anyone clarify it for me? |

"Guess they don't make Jedi like they used to."
"Dad, I'm right here," a Jedi Knight of less than 40 years of age said. I hope this answers your question.

Han made a comment that they don't make Jedi like they used to.
So, Jaina's comment roughly translates to "Uhm, dad. Don't say things like that about Jedi when there's one right beside you. Duh."

Jaina was pretty much feeling kind of uncomfertable and wanted Han to be quite.

I really think Daala is scared of the jedi, but mostly she seems the most scared of Kyp, Jaina, and Tahiri. She publicly embarrassed Jaina, has Tahiri under
arrest, and wants to arrest Kyp. Those are the three jedi most dangerous to her. She is trying to get them out of the way. I see something going on behind the
lines. I think the one sith are controlling Daala and everything that is going on, this is just beginning. We are seeing their plan being put into play with
Daala being a pawn.

You could also argue that these three Jedi have pissed off people she wants to please the most.
Tahiri killed Pelly, and Daala and Pelly were BFFs. Kyp totally pwzzned an entire Imperial solar system. Jaina openly hates Daala's guts and isn't the sort of person to hide her hatred and also Jaina conducts blatant anti-Daala missions. I mean, seriously, Daala isn't going to make a case out of arresting Tionne Solusar or Streen because hey, what did Tionne Solusar or Streen ever do to her or any random Imperials? If Dorsk 81 was alive, she'd probably throw a lawsuit at him for channelling all that Force energy and throwing her seventeen Star Destroyers out of the Yavin system. But he's dead so she can't touch him. Suck it, Daala. |

id like it igf the reason for daala to go after these jedi was to please the empire because that would suggest coalosain between daala and the moffs (lerceson)
so maybe the jedi council could telll jaina to go and have a quite word with jag about sorting out his moffs

I don't think that's true. A lot of the Moffs still hate Daala. Recall that as late of Revelation she was still gunning for a lot of them
because they killed Liegeus in a failed attempt to kill her. And many of the males Moffs were not amused when she mandated that they had to have
female Moffs on the Moff Council at all times.

Nom, Kyp also destroyed at least 1 or 2 (I don't remember) of her 4 Star destroyers using the Star Crusher.

True, but I think destroying an entire solar system trumps a pair of Star Destroyers.

and the star destroyers are warships and the empire was at war with the NR at the time so that can be chalked off as a space battle

If Daala has anything against Kyp, I imagine it is the whole "solar system" thing and the time after that. I'm sure she'd rather see Kyp
returned to Kessel instead of being "rehabilitated" by the Jedi.
And I'm pretty sure one of those star destroyers was destroyed or heavily damaged when Kyp rammed the ship's bridge with the Sun Crusher....that might be considered excessive I suppose but I'm not sure Daala would care that much at this point. She can hardly hold up her failed attempt to conquer the galaxy and destroy the New Republic as an example of why she's good and the Jedi are bad |
