Planning back to back sequels makes sense. If Green Lantern is as successful as it has the potential to be then having sequels already in planning means they won't rush anything into production and cut corners to get it out faster, but if the film tanks then all they've lost is scripting costs which is nothing in Hollywood terms. I just hope they show the same faith in their other characters when they eventually make their movies. The JLA news makes sense on one level, no Batman and Superman means it won't upset Nolan, but not on the other - those two, especially Batman, are the big money makers and WB would want them in the film. That said, given the faith WB seems to have in GL it could be that they hope he can carry the film and by that point Flash (and probably Wonder Woman) may have had solo films as well so the only "unknowns" would be Aquaman and Martian Manhunter. That said, I'd prefer Superman to be in the JLA (Batman I'd like a cameo, but could live without him being in it as his world doesn't really fit with the JLA's, probably more so in live action)
The movieblog rumors are completely new to me. I'm not familiar with the directing work of Jonah Nolan or Goyer, so I can't say if this is good or bad, bbut both are part of Team Nolan and if it's like the Batman films then both will have been involved in the story so I think either would be a good choice as long as they're good directors.
The audition process sounds fair. Personally I think both Routh and Welling should be given an audition along with anyone else they're considering for the role, that way they can say they really have the best person for the job and that both fan favorites were considered for the role even if it does go to someone else. But Rosenbaum has to be Lex

Earlier this year, it was suggested that some big announcements were coming from DC Entertainment. Many months passed by and when they didn't come at the San Diego Comic-Con in July, it seemed like DC Entertainment was going to wait and see how Green Lantern does before announcing further projects. That's not the case, as Warner Bros. CEO Barry Meyer announced at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference that DC is going to play a much bigger role at the studio going forward now that the "Harry Potter" films are coming to an end. According to Heat Vision, he said that "there will be an organizational announcement next week, then in about a month Warner Bros. will unveil a spread sheet detailing how the various superheroes will be reintroduced to consumers, and on more than just feature film platforms."

Deadline spoke with Zack Snyder, who confirms that as soon as he completes post on Sucker Punch, he'll move right into the Man of Steel. "I've been a big fan of the character for a long time, he's definitely the king of all superheroes, he's the one," Snyder told Deadline. "It's early yet, but I can tell you that what David and Chris have done with the story so far definitely has given me a great insight into a way to make him feel modern. I've always felt he was kind of awesome. I'll finish Sucker Punch and get right at it."

Really not sure how I feel about this. On one hand I'm really glad Superman is moving forward, but at the same time I really didn't like 300 or Watchmen. Both were very much style over substance and Watchmen was slow and boring for the most part (IMHO). Hopefully with Nolan and Goyer's script providing the substance this won't be an issue. Ultimately I trust Nolan, so I'm just gonna wait and see how this pans out.Really hope the Zod rumour isn't true. I want someone new like Brainiac, Bizarro, Metallo, Doomsday, etc. Zod is a million times better than Donnor/Singer's Lex "Land" Luthor (at least Superman will be able to do more than lift an island for the finale) but he's already been on the big screen, give some other villain a chance. When Nolan did Batman Begins he used villains that hadn't been used on film before, I just hope they do the same for Man of Steel.
