First off, let me just say this was a very satisfying read. Karen Miller did a great job, and spun some new perspectives on some pet peeves. First one is Padme's death which she foreshadows and lifts into something more than it was in ROTS. The second is the much-maligned midichlorians and it's a great spin; a must read. What I really like is that it's no retcon and uses the midichlorions in a very descriptive way.
The Bail/Obi-Wan relationship is great, especially as they start off mostly annoying each other. The progression of their relationship is a joy to read.
This book is going to go down as one of this year's best reads. Maybe one of my all-time favs in SW lit.
The only thing I didn't like about the book was the cover. The cover should be Bail and Obi-Wan, and the person who okayed the Clone cover should be shot. It has virtually nothing to do with the story.
otherwise completely two-thumbs up.
