Ok, when I asked the representatives for Random House UK for their list of upcoming Star Wars titles, they included two mysterious listings: STAR WARS: LEGACY OF DOOM C 12.99 12-2019 CCCCCC NYP12-19 A02 A4 9780593041987 WEIS,MARGARET STAR WARS: LEGACY OF DOOM P 5.99 12-2019 CCCCCC NYP12-19 A02 A4 9780553504835 WEIS,MARGARET Weis is a veteran Fantasy author and a pretty big name one at that. She's written over thirty books, including the Darksword Trilogy and the Dragonlance series. It'd be quite a coup for SW to get her onboard. Shame Sue R. is off this week, so we can't ask her about it. Perhaps someone can ask Margaret Weis herself? Also note, the 2019 date. This could still be an error. It was apparently a sequel to Exiles of the Force and Heart of the Jedi. It was cancelled in 1995 Here's the link: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Legacy_of_Doom Info on Exiles of the Force: *Exiles of the Force* was a four-part comic miniseries proposed by Jim Baike that would have Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa Solo dealing with a new Force-related threat. It was apparently going to be a prequel to Heart of the Jedi and Legacy of Doom. and Heart of the Jedi: *Heart of the Jedi* was a novel that was going to be written by Kenneth Flint. Posts: 905 11/24/08 2:17 PM	Actually it's not all that uncommon, it just generally happens with toys and Wal-Mart and Target computers more than books. The one funny thing I remember is about three years ago I called my local Barnes and Noble (which is 60 miles away) and asked about copies of Dark Empire and they asked if I wanted the Dark Horse version or the Marvel one They really didn't have the Marvel one, but originally Marvel was going to print DE and it was listesd in their computers.

Posts: 910 11/24/08 5:00 PM	I actually had them hold a copy for me I knew that there could be no way the had a Marvel produced copy of Dark Empire, but then the obscure collector side of me thought "weeeeeeeell". So I get there to pick it up and it's the Dark Horse version. I asked for the Marvel version that they said they had and they actually had four employees scouring the back room for one. The coolest part, I got the Dark Horse version for free since they thought my "Marvel" copy was sold before I could pick it up.
