One possibility is that the same-page links are from people who are posting using HTML, rather than BB, for whatever reason. Could anyone shine some light as to this quandary?

Question- possibly regarding coding |

I've noticed that some links from here open in new windows, while some open in the same window. I would assume that nobody here is intentionally choosing
to make viewers lose their NJOE window, so I was sort of wondering why- is this a Yuku thing?

I'd need to see some examples to know what you're talking about... because 10 times out of 10 if there's a link in the post, I open it in a new
window or tab to keep the forums open separate regardless of what the internet page wants me to do.

I know what you're talking about Iurus. I've noticed it too although it's been a while since I had a specific incident of it because I started
doing it the way Acky just suggested. I right click any link and a drop down menu appears. Then click "open link in new tab/window" like that. I
think it has to do with the link itself as some open as a new window, some advance the active window to the new URL and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme
or reason.

Next time I come across one, I'll link it. If anybody knows for a fact that they happen to use only HTML or something in their posts, though, it would be
useful- the search would be unnecessary. EDIT: Here is the latest.

As best I can guess, it looks like you used the (url) (/url) BB code while the post you linked us to is just a copy/paste of a URL that Yuku converted into a
link on it's own.
I have no idea if that's the reason or not, but it's the only difference I see on the back-end.

I think that if you open a new window then press the link it goes away
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most
frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people don't feel insecure around
you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give
other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. Mariane Williamson
