Well, there's still the ship full of dead Hapan royals from Invincible.Max hit it on the head. Even when one subtracts Blood Oath from canon, we're still left with Invincible (ugh). The entire leading cabal of Imperial politicians willingly launched an all-out assault on the Hapes Consortium by attempting to kill off the royal family. Indeed, Isolder died at their hands, and as far as the Imperials and the wider galaxy is concerned, they also killed the future heir. It doesn't matter that Tenel Ka and the readers know that Allana is safe; the fact is those Imperials still went in with the attempt and means to kill off the royal family.
One imagines the Hapans have plenty of bad feelings left over from this event to spill into FOTJ.
