Wow....it is an unbelievable long wait for it should have come out with Outcast, but imagine the great few months next
year. We have Crosscurrent in January, Backlash in February, and then
Blood Oath and Allies in March.
Daala Count- 20 and counting and Hapans Rule All!

I suspect Allies is still in April. The catalog's up to March now and it's not in there yet. But that's almost better, right? I mean, hell, if they
can schedule something good for May then we'll have a nice little streak going there.

Even though it's not 100% confirmation, at least it's something, I agree.

Shows promise, anyways.
New books usually show up in the catalog at the start of the month, in one big mass update. And even then, those additions are usually for the newest month being added to the catalog. (February being added at the start of June, March at the start of July.) So for a book to be added individually, in the middle of the month, and added to a month that was already in the catalog, means that (hopefully) something has changed in the book's status that makes it sellable. Now that I've said my peace on that, BO has also been readded to the distibuter's site, so it should start popping back up on places like Amazon.

Quick update from Sue on the status of the manuscript for
Blood Oath:
Speaking of, I see Blood Oath is back in the catalog. That seems like a good sign. Right? Can't say yet. Still don't have the entire manuscript. |

Never heard of an author handing in parts of a manuscript, but at least it's something....

What's interesting (in a negative way) is that an editor would publicly say that.
Perhaps the entire manuscript is just being re-written or polished and only that part which is finished has been handed over? That would be an optimistic interpretation of this. |

At this point, I wouldn't even care if it was canceled. The funniest part about this whole thing is that they (meaning Sue and co.) don't even
really seem to care about whether it does come out, or how the fans view the situation surrounding it. She seems to have a very "blah" attitude about
it all, which is odd because she's usually pretty passionate about stuff she's involved with.

For a year. If the VIPs did not care, then they could easily drop BO altogether and fill the contract slot with another title and author. That they are willing to stick with it for over a year past its original publication date implies to me that they do care. There may be issues of having already paid people (Cunningham, Seeley, etc) and that may be a factor, but as we all know, they've cancelled books before, at different stages of their development. I do think they care about this product. |
