Since there's not really a place for the discussion of this book/comic/game, I thought I'd go ahead and give it one for us all to discuss.
I just finished Part 1 ("Imperial"), and the quality has been all right. Nothing extraordinary. The beginning of the book rubbed me the wrong with by thrusting the reader right into the thick of the characters and action, but I do like PROXY's character. Even Vader seems well done so far. I just wish we could get in the apprentice's head more, with less musing from the rather bland Juno Eclipse.
The first part read a lot like a video game novelization, unfortunately. Once Starkiller lands on a planet, it's a walkthrough of a level. It's unfortunate because you lose a lot of story potential. No good descriptions of planets or thoughts from Starkiller. It all mostly relies on action. It also makes the confrontations between him and the Jedi more underwhelming, especially with Shaak Tii. But I was pretty shocked with the ending to Part 1. Didn't see that coming, so perhaps the story will take a turn for the better.
