Unknown Desert Planet, Near An Abandoned Cave

Sand. Jorath hated sand; he has never been to Tatooine or Ryloth as a Jedi Knight and would never want to go after seeing this. Everywhere he looked was sand, sand, and more sand. Of course, not in the cave that he and fellow Jedi Master Ariel Cruz were dropped off at.

"What I want to know is why there is a cave in the middle of the desert?' she asked as she flipped off her Jedi robe revealing her combat battle suit. Jorath didn't know why she did that. It would a lot hotter in the battle suit than in the Jedi robe he was in, but of course that's Ariel was trying to prove her even though she was already on the Council.

"I don't know I will talk to Master Kurn when we get back." He looked around. Nothing. Nothing was here. The Council said there was dark Jedi here. Jorath believed him but still nothing. "I bet they are in that cave right there." Well, duh, there in the cave they couldn't hide here forever.

"Okay let's go." Ariel unclipped her saber and ignited a violet lightsaber, making the cave a weird black-purple color. "Let's keep track this time, Master Jorath."

"Sure. I'll of course win again." With that he unclipped his saber and ignited his own saber; a dark green saber with a white interior. Now the cave was a purple-green-black mash up.

They walked into the cave. Jorath felt nothing in the Force, except of course Ariel. The cave was dark-lit only by their sabers. There was nothing on the cave floor, no creatures, no sign of creatures, nothing.

This is what Jorath felt as he walked into Darth Reaper's chamber. It was nothing. There was nothing. He felt nothing. He was nothing. Jorath had marched into his chamber, killed Darth Scythe without saying anything. Than he dueled Darth Reaper himself-

No. No. Not know, focus on the mission. He thought.

"Ariel, I always wondered. Why do you always try to prove yourself to the Council?" Jorath knew what she would say, he just needed to think of something to take his mind off of the Sith.

"Because. Because during the war with the Sith they only used me as a reserve. As a healer." Ariel looked as thou she knew something the other Council members. She was looking at the ground as she told her story. "I was there…at Rhen Var."

Jorath remembered Rhen Var. That was the darkest battle of the war with the Sith, the day that Darth Reaper and Darth Scythe invaded with their legions of Sith soldiers and dark Jedi. He wasn't at that battle, but, he should have been. Maybe he could have stopped the slaughter

. It was after that that the Jedi Council decided to keep the temple there a secret. Only the Jedi Council members knew about it, he has never been there but heard that it was a beautiful place; the Temple not the planet. The planet was a frozen ice wasteland, the opposite of this place

"Oh. I feel so bad for you. Of course, you know I wasn't there." Jorath patted her on back, "Its okay, if you went out during the battle, you would have been killed."

Ariel glared at him. "I know. But I saw him…I saw Darth Scythe."

Jorath looked at her. "I…I don't know what to say. Did you see his face?"

"No. But it still scared me. I never saw Reaper but I heard he is ten times worse. But let's continue with our mission."

Jorath was speechless. She saw Scythe. Not many people saw him and lived to say it. But to him, Scythe was worse than Reaper. Scythe blindly followed Reaper. But he was thinking about the Sith again and he hated himself for it.

Wait. Jorath felt something in the Force. He looked up ahead and saw a normal-sized man with a dark cloak hanging over itself, a red-lightsaber lit up the cave. "Ariel, you take this one. I'll look for more."

"Will do, Master." Ariel jumped out of her mood so fast it startled Jorath. She brought her saber in a high arc and clashed with the dark Jedi. She was a master of the fourth form of lightsaber combat called Ataru. She swung her saber and twisted her body at the same time, easily killing the pathetic dark Jedi. "Jorath, behind you!"

Jorath wiped around and sliced the head off the dark Jedi before it even brought his saber up. "Let's go!" Now they ran pass deeper into the cave. Jorath could feel the dark Jedi's presence getting closer and there were a lot of them. The cave felt like it was closing in on them, like it was going to crush them if they continued farther. But as they neared the edge of the cave, they saw a little light coming from the far end of the cave.

"That must be the exit!" Ariel said. And she took off running at full speed.

"No! Ariel it's a trap!" Jorath yelled. But it was too late, as soon as she exited the cave and lightsaber was thrown right into her gut and she disappeared without a trance. He sighed. "Great. Now I have to do this by myself."

Jorath slowing walked though the cave, masking his presence in the Force. A flash of movement went right past him, and another, and another, until one came by too close and Jorath picked him up with the Force and Force pushed him out of the cave while his dark Jedi friend threw his saber killing him because he thought his friend was Jorath.

The five dark Jedi popped out of nowhere. Jorath brought his lightsaber up in an X-mark in the air. The call sign for the second form of lightsaber combat Makashi. The dark Jedi charged him and Jorath stabbed his saber though the first Jedi's chest. He clashed sabers with the second one and kicked the third one in a place he wouldn't recover for a while. Than while the fourth one was looking at his injured friend used the Force and moved his saber to cut off his arm, but there was no blood, but he did scream and ran away; only to get killed by the guy on the roof of the cave

Jorath swung high and missed the second's head by inches. The fifth one, their leader, most likely looked around for something to throw at him. He did. Now rocks were flying everywhere. The leader killed the third guy, by crushing him with the rocks, and while the second wasn't looking Force pushed him into the leader sending both back, and Jorath took off running. He exited the cave waiting for the "sniper" but nothing came…

Than he saw it. A whole legion of dark Jedi there must be over a million of them!

They ignited there sabers and it was loud and hurt Jorath's ears. He ran up to the legion of dark Jedi and all of the sudden everything turned white…

"Are you okay, Master?' It was Kurn Vor'en's voice. "Was the simulation too hard for you?' He began to laugh.

"No. No. I could take them. Why did you stop it?" Jorath's head really hurt.

"You got snipered again, Jorath." said Ranna Vanis. She was resetting the simulator in case somebody else wanted to go on.

"Again? Man, I hate that guy. What level was that anyway? A million dark Jedi? That's a little high, don't you think?" Jorath knew that he could take them all on, one at a time or all at once, he didn't care.

"Three, Jorath. Just three." Ariel got up and walked around the chamber, moving her stiff legs. She hasn't moved since she "died" in the simulator. "Come on you could have done better than that."

"I don't know what happened. One minute I focused, the next I was in shock and awe" He also got up and walked to Kurn. "Isn't there a Council meeting today?' And Kurn why is there a cave in the middle of a desert?"

Ranna's eyes went wide. "Yes! I almost forgot! It's in what a standard hour?" The Jedi Council was supposed to have a meeting today due to Death Spike's recent harassment of Republic ships, than Jorath needed to go to a Senate meeting and than have a private chat with the Chief of State. It was just another busy day for a Jedi Master.

"There was? Stupid piece of junk. I'm going to have to fix it someday…Wait. There is a Council meeting?

"Yes, there is. About Death Spike's recent "trouble" with the Republic. Ranna, you take Ariel to the Council Chamber. I need to talk to Kurn…alone." He looked at Kurn. "We will take the long way."

Coruscant Streets

Jorath Oldin and Kurn Vor'en walked side by side in the streets. It was busy and they had their hoods up, covering their face. Jorath needed to tell Kurn that the Sith could be back and that than need to take caution.

"There coming back; the Sith. I have had multiple visions that show that the Sith have returned." Jorath felt in the Force for anything unusual about has surroundings; there was nothing out of the ordinary

"I know. The balance in the Force has shifted…and not to our advantage. It seems as thou it's like a time bomb ready to blow. It makes me feel…uncomfortable." They continued to walk down the streets, everybody knew who they were, and some people waved others ignored them. It always made Jorath feel sad knowing that some people hate the Jedi Order, but it might have been them that made them this way; he hoped it wasn't like that.

"What should we do? If the Sith return, do we have the resources to deal with this threat? And what about Death Spike? What happens if they take-arms against the Republic?" Jorath could see another war coming and he didn't like it. It was times like this where he wished he was on a far off planet minding his own business, but he can't. He is a Jedi Master and trillions of lives depend on him. He needed to do his duty.

"We do what we usually do, Jorath. We kicked there butt and send them back where they came from." Kurn was trying to be funny, but it didn't work, there was too much going on right now for any humor, but Jorath laughed anyway.

"Well, I have secretly send Synn Ellison to Rodia to see if anything is going on. I will report to us during the meet."

"Is that wise, Jorath? Sending a Padawan to the heart of a criminal organization?"

"Synn is strong in the Force and will complete his mission there, I promise. But until we find out more about this, we must be cautious anybody could be a traitor…" And with that, the two Jedi Masters continued to the Jedi Temple for their meeting.
