Tenel Ka was created by Kevin Anderson and Rebecca Moesta in 1995. She has appeared as a Jedi Knight in numerous novels since her first debute. In Dark Journey, she became a Queen Mother. In Unseen Queen, she became a mother to Allana, with Jacen Solo. She kept it a secret to everyone except him. In Legacy, it has been revealed that she may be in some danger within the Hapan Consortium. So this is a thread about her.

Most likely Tenal will die, so Jacen can take full responsibility for Allana.
 I really, really hope not. Tenal is a great character, but sometimes great characters die e.g. Anakin Solo.Long live Kyle Katarn! |

Han and Leia's familial relationships are strong. By now, it seems they have found out about Allana, and probably will opt to save their daughter-in-law (eeee!) and grandchild. |

I'm hoping that Tenel Ka doesn't die, because she's always been through really tough times all her life, so I think she should be allowed to survive to at least hope for better days to come, especially when Jacen loves her and Allana needs her mother
What I'm really anxious for is how Han and Leia find out about Allana; after all the time wondering who the father is, and literally asking Jacen who the father was, he is so dead!!!! I can see how the family's going to interact with each other as Han and Leia try to 'kill' Jacen about not spilling the beans:    In the meanwhile, Tenel Ka might be thinking:  hehe... just some private speculation. sorry. I hate seeing characters die, but to have Tenel die and then have Allana raised by Han and Leia seems like a possiblity. Course they didnt really even rase their own children.

If any character needs to die, it should be Garm Bel Iblis, Peallon(?), Lowbacca, Kyp Durron, or Jagged Fel. Some people might not agree with Lowbacca or Jagged Fel, but I hate those characters.

I don't think she should die.
Apart from being one of my faves and a great character in her own right, her death would leave Allana without a mother at only 5 years old. Too many people are orphaned in Star Wars; its getting a little repetitive. What's more, virtually all of Tenel's family have been killed off in various unsavoury ways. Her uncle (Isolder's brother) was murdered by Chume. So was Isolder's first fiancee. Not to mention Teneniel herself (Tenel's mother). Tenel's brother was miscarried. And Ta'a Chume, despite being a great evil beeyotch, was lobotomised. I say leave the poor girl alone. And really, with Han and Leia looking out for her, and with her own formidable fighting skills, Tenel does stand a better chance than most. |

The blurb doesn't imply that they know Allana is Jacen's. I think they are doing it because of their own morals and they know how Jacen feels about her.
If you think back to what Denning said though, it does make sense that she die. He said there needed to be a baby. He slapped together Chapter 23 and there you are. Having Tenel Ka stay around is not necessary anymore. In fact, it would free up alot for the story. Don't shoot me! I'm a J/TK supporter.

Everyone here is, don't worry.
 Killing Tenel Ka would be a bad move IMO. Admittedly, killing her would create a lot of interesting story arc...things...like the resultant contest over leadership of Hapes, and Jacen and Allana's reaction Here's something I just thought of that develops on the blurb: Corellia sends delegates to persuade Hapes to secede, but Tenel Ka refuses to lead her people to join the Seperatists. At this point, Han and possibly Leia are part of the Seppie movement, but are not fully trusted by the Seppie leaadership due to their ties back to the GFFA. They also are cognizant of H&L's bond to Tenel Ka. So to consolidate H&L's loyalty, the leadership orders them to assasinate Tenel Ka so that they can install their own puppet ruler on the throne of Hapes. Dun Dun Dun!!!! |
