Dark Jedi sure, but not Sith (to my knowledge, which isn't much).

We do know however that Palpatine feared them also which is why he basically quarintined the entire planet to strand them there.

I don't recall any mention of the Nightsisters being Sith in TCoPL. There is a separate entry on Wookiepedia for "Nightsister Sith Witch," but
all the information comes from the Star Wars: Miniatures game, so its canonical status is up in the air... http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Nightsister_Sith_witch

If General Grevious fights that new padawan in the movie, and if she survives... I will be beyond pissed off.

Is this about the Nightsisters as in, the Shadow Academy? They used lightsabers.

The original ones didn't. Just a lot of chanting and "spells." But yeah, the "new" Nightsisters in YJK did.

Though again, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the Nightsisters were on the list of Sith influenced Force traditions, so some of them might have the
training- though I can't actually find this, so... :/

Just given the dark nature of some of their powers, I'd guess a Sith influence somewhere in their past. And to the question of "wasn't Clone Wars the LAST 'big thing'" - I think it was supposed to be. I also think the books (and comics to a lesser degree) blundered through it so badly and dis-jointedly that there's plenty of room to grow. By 'next big thing' I really mean the animated series - if it's a hit (and we all suspect it will be), that's where LFL is going to want to focus it's merchandising (where the REAL money from the movie is made!). New books, comics, action figures, videogames... we're starting to see it already. Combine that with the recent hit novels from Republic Commando as well as the big deal they're making out of The Force Unleashed... and it at least makes some sense to see a Clone Wars game novelization - especially considering they're making the game as if it was an unaired episode of the series. But all of that is just my own thinking. |

Well, we now know the new Clone Wars stuff will include five adult novels--one adapting the movie, and the others adapting the TV show--as well as the comics,
kids' books, RPG guide, etc. that we already knew about.

If the new KOTOR game is in fact an MMO, then it's likely that the novellization will be similiar to Galaxies: Ruins of Dantooine.

Yes, but the Bioware MMO is not coming before 2010, perhaps only in 2011. This novel seems to come too early for it to be tied to that MMO (if it is SW MMO at
all).

I never even considered the clone wars DS game as a candidate but that could work. Personally I think this will be a continuation of TFU and the characters
from the game. Following in the vein of the X-wing series and Republic Commando series
**We cannot defend freedom abroad by deserting it at home**
**People should not be afraid of their governments, governments should be afraid of their people** |

The DS game might come out too early for this SW game novel to be it's novelization.
But, I hope this is something more surprising than just TFU's paperback
version - and usually DR doesn't bring paperback version out so soon after the hardcover. I would except TFU to come out as a paperback only during the
summer of 2009, not in the early spring.

I'm still putting my money on this being a KOTOR book.
Not because of the MMO, but because they've been talking about the possibility of doing one for a while now.

I hope so, but I have nagging feeling that a KOTOR novel would be a hardcover.

And furthermore... why in the hell would they leave it untitled if it was just a paperback to an existing novel?
