I hope they are talking about maybe...KOTOR 3?? One can only hope.

Well, this site tells us there are two
more Clone Wars games coming soon, so it may be one of them. Also rumors about KOTOR 3 are always around.

Yeah but the latest rumors for KotOR 3 place it out around 2010... Maybe it is a sequel to The Force Unleashed? In novel form mind you..

According to one of the recently laid off Lucasarts employees these are the games they have coming up: (From Kotaku)
The Wii lightsaber game has been revealed to be Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels with a similar game (not a port) for the DS. I have to say that none of these jump out to me as good novelization candidates. Maybe KOTOR 3, but as an MMO, I'm not sure how they could adapt that. |

Actually the game for the DS is completely different with Count Dooku working with the Nightsisters to take out the Jedi. The Wii game is more of a fighting
game while there is a story line the main focus rests largely on fighting. And once again the latest rumors for KotOR 3 state this game will be released in
2010; the novel is slated for a release of Febuary of 09.
Unless there is some super-double-secret video game being developed and released a few short months after TFU this might be more of a sequel to TFU than anything else or a re-telling of Kyle Katarn's greatest adventures;) |

Corax has a good point... it doesn't necessarily have to adapt a game for it to be a game tie in (like the Rep Com books)
So it could potential be anything related to any game. Like that KotoR book everyone's been asking for...

That could work. Maybe a novel following a character from the game, bridging the gap between The Sith Lords and the inevitable third game? Or following
Revan on his search for the "true" Sith?

You know I wouldn't mind reading a novel about what KotOR 2 was supposed to contain. A cheaper version of a special edition if you will; instead of redoing
the game.
But for some reason I think this novel will have more to do with TFU than anything else. Whether it's a straight up sequel or stars periphery characters and expands their story, maybe General Rahm Kota's battles during the Clone Wars, I think that ultimately that is what we will get. Although the very thought of Imperial Commando by Karen Traviss sounds awesome.

You know, if the author turns out to be Karphyshyn, then I'm thinking KOTOR related. Either the games themselves or some sort of spinoff. Perhaps the life
of Darth Nihilus. Hey, a fanboy can dream...
Course, it could be a novelization of the X-Wing/TIE Fighter games. Even though they're rather old.

If it's Karpyshyn(butchered it I know) than it would almost certainly be a KoToR tie in probably based around Revan and Malak. There is still a lot of
uncovered ground with those two that might or might not be covered in the KoToR comics.
If not it could also possibly be something based around the new MMO that Bioware is supposedly working on for Star Wars. They did make release a Galaxies based book which ironically was better than anything they ever put into the Galaxies game itself. |

I never played Galaxies, but IMO that book pretty much sucked. <_< I'd rather they look to the RepCom books for inspiration, hence my earlier
suggestion of Imperial Commando.
