Did anyone read that Darth Vader bio Scholastic put out recently? |

Because Obi-Wan Kenobi's getting the same treatment.
When the world needs him, the warrior Fet'antilles will rise again from the grave.

Yeah, I read that over on TFN. I guess I'm buying another book.
I wonder if they'll finally give him a home planet. |

It was mentioned as Tattooine at times. Granted, the OT novelizations aren't perfect, and we still don't know that he's Dessert Wind, but I still
think it is.

I read the Darth Vader book.
Isn't Obi-wan supposed to be a Coruscant native? |

No. He has a Coruscanti accent because he was raised on Coruscant. The home planet has never been verified, but it isn't either Coruscant or Tatooine.
Lucas said that the Tatooine thing was because one of the early authors misstated that Owen Lars was Obi-Wan's brother. It was later corrected by giving
Obi-Wan a brother Owen.
We're also probably never going to find out who Desert Wind was. I'm sure it was meant to suggest Obi-Wan because of how early I Jedi was written. It could actually also refer to Anakin. |

Oh, yeah, could be. I hadn't thought about him. He sounds even more likely because weren't all the jedi in that episode in I, Jedi masters?

You know what my major complaint about the Darth Vader bio was? As I was reading it I just kept thinking to myself 'Hey, I've read all of this before.' It just felt like one big rehash to me.
"There is no one more helpless, irresponsible, and depraved than a man in the midst of an ether binge."
"The jig was up, they'd found me. Oh well, plenty of good books have been written in prison." |

Yeah, but do they have good pictures in them?

DarthRaulDuke wrote: Right- we've basically been walked through all of the major events in Vader's life, from childhood to death. A biography is more designed for someone who can't recite a character's life story off the top of their head. Plus, if it's Scholastic, I'm guessing it was geared toward younger readers.
