Posts: 3661 May 4 08 5:30 PM	I think it's safe to say my username answers your question. I do have a private fear that the Solo name will not appear in Legacy. We have no proof that Roan Fel is Jaina's descendant. Remember, the Fels still have 2 other kids besides Jag.

I don't consider the Fels Solos even if Jaina would be Roan Fel's grandmother or great-grandmother. Too many generations in between and they are too Imperial. If it's an Imperial, it deserves to die.

Posts: 2576 May 4 08 7:42 PM	I also think that the Solos are cooler. The Skywalkers are great, especially Mara and Ben, but the Solo's just have so much more...diversity. Does C-3PO count as a Solo? You know, its kind of sad that if I were to mention the discussions that go on here to somebody in the real world, they would call me crazy as well as obsessive and a complete geek/nerd/whatever. Then I come here and discover that I'm way out of my league. Especially when people recall details that I don't even remember....

Posts: 90 May 4 08 9:35 PM	I haven't read any of the Legacy comics but I haven't heard anyone say that there are any Solo's in the series. Star Wars has always been about the Skywalker line. While Leia married a Solo she is still a Skywalker. I just find it a pity that her character has never really been allowed to become powerful like Luke. I know one of the blurbs said that Caedus had become even more powerful than his grandfather but I don't believe that. Jacen learned ways of the force his grandfather didn't but that doesn't make him more powerful. Anyway, to answer the question; I say the Solo's tend to be more interesting because there are more of them but I'm for the Skywalkers.

Luke has been totally, awesomely cool ever since he sent that torpedo down the Death Star's shaft. Mara? Come on, A former Emperor's Hand turned jedi not cool? And we've only begun to see Ben's total coolness.

I'm afraid that I don't think that I really understand your question, but yes, the Fels, being rulers of the Galactic Empire, are more Imperial than the two Skywalkers we have seen in Legacy, one Jedi Master, one Jedi Padawan and a Bounty Hunter... If it's an Imperial, it deserves to die.

For some reason I always liked Luke more than Han in the movies (probably because I wanted to be a Jedi and lightsabers are better than blasters). For EU I'd have to say Solo! JJK, YJK, NJO Jacen, Jaina and Anakin! Three of my favorite Star Wars characters ever! Jacen in NJO is my favorite Star Wars character, Traitor is IMHO the best Star Wars book written. Post-NJO I'd have to say Skywalker. I don't think the Solos have been handled the best (Jacen a Sith, Jaina inactive for the first half though recent books have improved on that). Ben is the reason I'm still reading LOTF. Plus Cade Skywalker is a great character!

That's why he wanted Luke to join him. He had no intention of letting the emperor make Luke his apprentice. He planned on Luke helping him overthrow Palpatine as soon as Luke turned to the dark side. Palpatine, naturally intended to replace Vader with Luke. Fortunately, neither of them got what they wanted.

The Solo's will always be my favorite (guess why) but LOTF has been a low point for them. Evil Jacen, dead Anakin (which they throw in our face every book), and inactive, stuck-in-love-triangle Jaina. Okay, lets not turn this into a Jaina-Zekk-Jag thread now that I've mentioned that.
