I'm not sure how to handle this news. I've been expecting Caedus to go down but for Tenal Ka to give up her daughter; now that's surprising. I wonder if this means that the royal families find out who Allana's father is. For that reason I could see TK wanting to protect her by getting her far away from Hapes. |

i think that is probably the most closely guarded secret in the galaxy period only the immediate family knows i mean think of the ramifications and people
trying to kill her like the bothans arkrai

The Zel sisters in Invincible, Tenel Ka's first cousins on her father's side, to me seem to be created so that there is a possibility in the future
that Allana won't return to Hapes to become a Queen Mother. More options for her future. At this point, I would prefer seeing her in the future as Solo, a
Jedi Knight and pilot of Millennium Falcon, instead of Allana Djo, Queen Mother of Hapes.

Isn't there some kind of situation in Invincible where Allana appears to dies only she really doesn't? I could see TK using that to safeguard Allana
& give her the opportunity to train as a jedi.

Officially Allana dies in the nanovirus attack, Tenel Ka announces this in Holonet, unofficially she becomes Han&Leia's ward and a trainee in the Jedi
Academy under the name of `Ameillia´ (or something similar). As few people know how she looks like, this might not be as unlikely to succee as it might seem
first. And her hair is now brown, and instead of looking like Tenel Ka, as she was described in Fury, she supposedly has started to look more like Jacen and is
thought to look even more like him as she grows up. That's at least what I got from the spoilers.

Forgetting the gripes people have about certain things in LotF, I think that the writers are setting us up for some major character development in another
series (granted, this could and should have been done in LotF itself). Imagine being the guardians of a kid who looks the spit of your son who turned into a
monster and was killed by your daughter? Having Allana around is going to have a major effect on Han and Leia post-LotF - a constant reminder of Jacen and what
he became. It also can't be good for Jaina, what with having lost both brothers - one of whom she killed herself. Remember when she thought she lost both
of them in the NJO? Now she really has, and this time she is the one responsible for severing the twin bond between her and Jacen - that's gotta hurt.
With any luck, LotF can just be dismissed as a way of blasting through 'back story' to get us to the real action faster (i.e, post-LotF), and hopefully the writers will do more with these stories, starting with Millennium Falcon. |

I do have to say that this story will probably give more developement of han and leia which is awesome. Just because you are older does not mean you cannot change or have another layer to your character. It makes it more itneresting and that is something I do give DR big props for. They have not let the big 3 get stale and it seems they will continue to go into more depth of their personalities in Millenium Falcon. |

OK, I'm grabbing at straws here...still in denial, at least until I can read Invincible...but do you think that the "faceless threat" could be
some form of return of Vergere/Lumiya/Caedus? I've always thought it was odd that Lumiya and Vergere would so willingly die for Jacen. I've always
thought that perhaps they would return, since why else would they so willingly die for a longshot prospect (at least for Vergere, that was a pretty
longshot...10+ years before Caedus is a Sith.) They must have had a plan....

you have a point about Vergere. I always thought that Kreia from KotoR II was like a rip-off of Vergere, and the blurb for MF did mention something about a
threat to the Force itself (ala Kreia's wacko plan to destroy it).

instead of looking like Tenel Ka, as she was described in Fury,Actually what it said in Fury was that she had Tenel Ka's coloring, "but her face, her expressions, her lively intelligence were so like his when he was a child".

Well if Allana now looks more like Jacen then Han and Leia are going to have a lot of heartbreak to go thru just looking at her. Remember how they were when in
the NJO that boy was surgically altered to look like Anakin? Now they have to go thru that again.

You know, I always knew Caedus being killed was not only a possibility but seemed kind of likely. Not until now have I considered what the authors have done to
Han and Leia here though. Both of their Sons dead and the second was by the hand of their Daughter. Oh man that hurts. They're heaping a lot of pain on the
Solo's. I guess Luke was right all those years ago. Han is best at taking care of himself. I bet he wishes he wasn't.
"I think a chicken, a coffee mug, or something that resembles coleslaw would
best represent me...

more like Jacen and is thought to look even more like him as she grows up.man thats going to be a killer reminder for some time. so hopefully allana will become a great jedi knight in the spirit of a nomi sunrider. this will give the order a luke type character, one who is a strong lightsider for years to come. jaina will be the next leader of the jedi order, in about 10 years imo.

I completly agree on what you said about Allana. She should be all lightside.
I will have to disagree on Jaina's fate. IMO she will have a hard time recovering after what happened with Jacen. Being how she is, she will make the biggest thought on why Jacen turned to the dark side. Remember that her two brothers are dead. They're not comming back. Who was the master of the two brothers? Mr GrandMaster... And see how the galaxy has gone in the last decade... Yuuzhan Vong for a while... Dark Nest... Darth Caedus... True, it's not Luke's fault, but I have to say he's been a bit weak and indecisive. Why not try to capture Jacen on the Anakin Solo when he was at mercy? The grief he would have spared to Jaina... And at least they would have tried to turn him back to the Light. Even Mara tried at the Senate builing... I do think Jaina will go at odds with Luke in the end, and she will leave with Jag, to found the Imperial knights which are something Jacen would have agreed with probably. |

I hate to say this, but I may end up grabbing this book. But only if they really focus on the backstory of the Falcon, because it's something I remember
wondering about as a kid.
But more faceless threats? Do our eyes roll at this point, or do we just accept it and fork over the cash regardless?

You know, I think that alot of people are like "well props to DR because we didn't think they had it in them to off both solo boys". For me, it is not a matter of Jacen dying or not but how it was portrayed. I am against people dying for shock value alone and that is what it was. But to be fair on the flip side it does give han and leia another layer to their characters and progresses allana's character. Still it could have been done with him alive (or Caedus having ruled the galaxy a bit longer) but this book will make for an interesting read of han and leia. |

Problem with the Caedus rulling the galaxy is the number of other characters you'd of needed to kill to let this happen. But the fallout from it all should
make good reading.
