This is a combination of feedback/general responses of the sort you would get if the poll was done on the forum.
Feedback: Personally, I feel that to mention them as running mates requires you to mention their titles/former titles (thinking of the General and the Admiral).
General response (aka Why I Picked Ackbar)
1 - Han Solo: You cannot get Leia without General Solo. It's like the Clintons- no one even mentons Bill as a possible running mate because he's in it if Hillary is.
2 - Luke Skywalker: Same here. Regardless of their positions, these two will always be exchanging top secret information and advising one another; there's no need to formalize it.
3 - Jaina Solo: Wrong here for so many reasons. Her political experience is basically what her mother told her; she's also a bit too impulsive and prone to tunnelvision for a Minister of State. She would be a good Commander in Chief perhaps, as her grandfather was, but not a political leader.
4 - C-3P0: Only Darth Caedus would contemplate him for such a position.
5 - Mon Mothma: Kind of tacky to run with her former boss. That would be like a Gore/Bill ticket.
6 - Elegos A'Kla: No good chance. Common knowledge is that if you allow her species to become nearly extinct, that all of them are too naive to prevent the same from happening to the galaxy. Senators are a fickle bunch.
