The only reason you believe that is because they influence you all the time. Talk to me about politics when you're older...." I'm 13. Doesn't mean I'm stupid. The challenge is not only thinking for yourself, but thinking critically. Sometimes the adults don't want to listen to the 'kids' because we're happier with our rationalizations and excuses.

My apartment building is built over a decent size "lake" (its really just a nasty retention pond) and every goose and duck likes to chill there during the spring when they make their way back up north. At its peak, there were 136 geese in the lake. Now, imagine all of them quacking.....at 6 in the morning everyday for two weeks.

Used to live near a lake, and it wasn't the honking/quacking ... it was the goose turds all over the grass and pathways. The AM noise award went to the building on the other side of the block that always had a guy with a leaf-blower out there at 6:30 AM - a real treat when you work nights. Even with earplugs, that'd wake me up sometimes.

Posts: 6488 Mar 11 08 9:22 AM	I have a pond across the street from my house. Because of our relatively mild climate, the geese are there 365 days a year, and my house is on their flight path. When I sit on my deck, I swear I could reach up and touch the geese as they fly over. I love it.
