Corran-You do know that the triad council chambes are scattered all over the galaxy? In an attempt to govern the galaxy better, Acky gave each of the council members their own little territory to govern. In turn, each council members went to a highly defended planet in their territory and built a HOLO Graphic chamber. And so:

1. There are like 15 council chambers scattered across the galaxy.

2. In this chambers, they all meet on their own, and holos are broadcast into the council members seat.

3. This means that only one real person would be at each chamber.

4. Acky's a Jedi.

5. Ganner is still with Acky, and he's a Jedi too.

6. Did I mention that the Main triad council base is on the Garden? The former 170 mile+ Undergrowth Triad base, and with the 17th and 18th Divisions of the Hand of EDD docked on the sides?

TI:

Acky stood to face Corran and secretly pressed the "Yellow Alert" button under his podium. HoT and Ganner stood and moved to opposite sides of the door which Corran had just entered.

"Corran. I appologize, but the Triad members and I have already discussed this proposition when we first learned of your government and I would like to direct your attention to Triad Rule Book, Section 9.93" Acky, through the force in an attempt to show Corran that 'he wasn't the only Jedi there' and opened it to that page.

Acky read, "The Triad will remain totally neutral pertaining to governments."

Acky waited for Corran's answer.

Sorry I couldn't expand on this more. At school and it's almost time to go.

Talon smiled. The government had fallen. The council members had fled back to their own domains. Boba Fett and other rogue elements were running rampant throughout the Megaverse starting private wars whereever they traveled. Soon VM's Jedi Academy would be razed by Talon's troops, as it was no longer under the protection of Admiral Pear's fleet. And the Hand of Ed was almost in Agent Kaar's grasp. She had successfully captured the Professor, the only living person who knew the location of the HoE. Talon sighed. It was a dangerous time for him. He risked exposure, but it couldn't be helped. "To achieve great things, one must take great personal risk" to quote his predecessor in the BTCS.

For now, the galaxy was divided. BTCS controlled scores of worlds spread out in a vast network across the Mega-Verse. Insurrections and revolutions were a daily occurrence now. Produce Forces were having a lot of trouble just quelling civil unrest, without fighting BTCS fleets in InGarm's former territory.

"So," Kaar said slowly as the torture chamber lowered to fit smugly around the body of Professor Feingold. "Maybe now you would like to tell me the location of the Hand of Ed2d2."

The professor smirked. "Maybe not," he said as an unbearable surge of pain coarsed through his body. "Even if I told you, you would not be able to go there anyway... If you haven't already heard, the warping of long range space and time in that system makes hyperspace travel to it impossible."

After a pause, Kaar smirked, sent another shock through the torture device, and snickered. "Your cooperation is not essential. We will find it eventually, with or without your help."

"Then you will have to do it without my help," said the professor with a calm smile.

Suddenly, the room shook as if an earthquake had engulfed the ship. Kaar spun around, hoping to get a report.

"Kaar!" a voice cried over the loudspeaker. "An unidentified ship is attacking! They wish to speak with you."

"Put them on," snarled Kaar.

"Members of Talon's organization," began a high, cat-like voice. "I am Icky, sent by Ecky to find the Hand of Ed2d2. You are in my way. Surrender immediately or be destroyed."

"Purhaps," shouted Kaar. "You should reconsider..."

"Actually," said Professor Feingold from behind Kaar, "maybe you both should reconsider." Kaar spun around to find herself face to face with the professor, out of his torture chair, a blaster in hand.

"How did you..."

"Cease your search for the Hand of Ed2d2," said Professor Feingold intensly. "It is not a weapon, it is a society. It will be found when it wants to be found, and it can only be used as a weapon when it wants to be used as a weapon."

A blaster bolt hit the wall over Feingold's head, causing a flare of sparks to engulf the ceiling in smoke. Kaar smiled. "My guards are always prepared."

"I can see that," said Feingold. Stepping into the light, he threw his blaster to the ground and raised his hands. Kaar smiled, then motioned her guards to bind him again. Just as the guards stepped to recapture him, the form of Professor Feingold shimmered away into blank space...

Kaar blinked several times, thinking her sleep depivation was playing tricks on her.

He wasn't there. He had just faded away.

***

"I would suggest going to the next best authority," said Admiral Pear slowly. "It's not likely that Kaar will return to California Raisen." Admiral Pear, having been amid another series of instable events, resigned from the Triad to allow General Parsley to take over his position. Pear had known for a long time that Parsley would make a better military leader: all he needed was experience and challenge. After spending a couple of days reflecting, Pear realized that he personally needed a break... but he still wanted to help. For this reason, he took his personal Piggy-Wiggly class Lettuce Destroyer and joined EC3 in his quest to find the Hand of Ed2d2.

"It is too bad that Professor Feingold was taken... I hope he's alright..." started EC3. Being cut off by a comm request signal, he turned on the communication channel of Pear's flagship.

Before he could even greet the person on the other end, a rushed message came through. Filled with urgency and seriousness, the voice said "EC3: This is Professor Feingold. I must leave this section of the galaxy, but I cannot reveal why. The Hand of Ed2d2 is at risk... you must find it! To aid you, I have sent a series of poems to your ship computer... you can interpret them as you wish, but there is only one path of interpretation that will lead you to the true Hand... Farewell, and may the Force be with you!"

EC3 starred into space, not believing what he just heard. "Wow..."

"We'd better start looking at those poems," said Pear, already loading up the computer. "He sent five... They are numbered."

"Let's take a look at the first one," said EC3.

The poem read:

Through irony and dust of space,
Through ashes of corruption and death's long face,
You will encounter a great beast,
Then a gathering with a delicious feast.
Starting now and long after,
The entrance is closed...

"Not exactly the best writing I've ever seen," said EC3 quietly. "I have a bad feeling about that last line..."

"Maybe it means that our people will not find any more of those fleets... Maybe they're keeping the rest there."

"Either way, we must work fast... Let's read the others."

Time out:

One again, I would like to request that no one post any action occurring on or around the Hand of Ed2d2 and no one post anyone finding the Hand of Ed2d2... yet I have some plans in mind

So whatever you want Corran. Soon VM will meet up with Corran though.

Vm glared into the communications set infont of him.
"VM, the senate no longer has trust in your abilities to raise the next breed of jedi," stated THoT. "Now Acky has inplaneted the jedi Ganner Rysode into the council." Vm was distressed.
"He can't!" shouted VM. "He has no experiance! Acky himself is a weak jedi! I must go see-"
"I am your only friend VM." It was true. No one trusts VM any more. Corran had abandoned him. THoT was the only outsider that still had faith in him.
"Then I must go to regain my trust," VM said.
"I will await your arivial at your favorite bar," said THoT.
"I'll be in disguise." Hours later A lizard (VM) was headed towards PR HQ.
Just then Black Talon was upon the academy.
The brave new trainee, Hedraj, was the one to lead the defense.

Aaron looped his new ship, the Red Arrow, through the BTCS formation. He opened fire on several fighters, taking each down. In the next seat, Al Toids, his copilot reported on the condition.
"The BCTS have landed troops on planet. It'll be up to the Jedi to fight those off."
Aaron nodded. He and Al had come to Yolkin on HoT's request for help. He and Rogue Squadron, the only Triad unit in the area, were grossly overmatched, but they fought on. Aaron grimaced as his shields took a heavy hit.
"Shields failing. We need a miracle to win this engagement."
Al grimaced. "Miracles are in short supply lately."
Aaron nodded, looped, and caught the fighter with a tortilla.
"There's your daily dose of protein," he muttered.
Meanwhile, Rogue Squadron were making strafing runs on the troop transports. Rogue 5 took a hit in the port wing, sending him spiraling into a troop transport. Both ships were consumed in the explosion.
R9a grimaced. He was down to eight fighters. The space battle would never go their way. The BTCS had brought in a grand carrier, six corvettes, and a bulk cruiser. The Rogues and Arrow could possibly take down the cruiser and corvettes, or the carrier alone, but not all at once. They needed a miracle.
The carrier blew.
Aaron did a double take. "What the hell?"
Al's jaw dropped. "What happened to the Big Daddy?"
"It's gone."
R9a's voice sounded over the comm. "I just recieved a message from the academy. Apparently, Hedraj managed to trigger the reactor of the carrier with the Force."
Aaron's mouth went dry. "The...the nuclear reactor?"
R9a nodded. "We're evacuating. The Jedi should be able to mop up the rest, but I'm not risking radiation poisoning."
Aaron nodded. "Same here. We'll meet up with HoT, but then I've got buisiness to do on Sunkist."

The nuclear radiation spread onto Yolkin, contaminating all the Jedi. Few escaped, from BTCS or Jedi. For those that did, however, Talon had the foresight to infect with an infectous disease. Soon, a galaxy wide epidemic was on the hands of the Triad. Hatred toward the Jedi was never higher.

Reply The Remnant
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hatred toward the Jedi was never higher... Except in a little corner of the galaxy known as the Old Remnant, where people still supported the Jedi. Made up of territory of Ed2d2's Produce Remnant during the Fruit Wars, things were beginning to improve, people began to work together to fight the epidemic, and life was returning to a resemblence of normal.

Turnip stood in the middle of the Old Chamber, facing senators from the hundreds of worlds that made up the Remnant region of the Triad. Behind him, a map of the galaxy was being projected.

"Our scientists did some remapping of the galaxy," said Turnip, continuing his speech, "and a few things became obvious. The most important observation was that, during the time when the galaxy fell into disarray, three major regions stayed in their original positions."

The map zoomed in, creating seperate close ups of each region. "First of all, absolutely none of the Unknown Region sectors were placed in other areas of the galaxy. A ring of sectors on the Frontier Rim maintained positions as well, suggesting that there's something in the Unknown Regions we do not know about.

"The next area involved five sectors in Intecid Space. We found no indication of why this occured.

"The final area is our space. Absolutly no current member worlds of the Remnant moved. We're still in the same place. Therefore, something must be happening."

"I find it ironic," called Senator Seed of the Pumpkin Sector, "that the most peaceful regions were not affected."

Senator Glenn raised an eyebrow. "That's an interesting observation... Acky did say the disarray had something to do with the Force... Maybe the hate of way caused planets to move."

"It could be," responded Senator Seed. "But this just reminds us of our current state of affairs. We are constantly at war. We are apart of this Triad, but we are receiving no benifets. We're basically being ignored."

"I disagree," said Senator Glenn. "As representative from this Parliament to the Triad, I can assure you that we are trying."

Senator Seed paused. "That may be, Senator, and I must admit you have been doing an excellent job. But the Triad is a war organization, not a government. They have excelled at war, but conditions in some of Acky's Vegetable Patch have grown so terrible that refugees are leaving by the millions-"

Senator Mango of the Jam Sector stood and adjusted his microphone. "I must remind you," he began, a squeak from the microphone interupted him. With another adjustment, he continued. "I must remind you that Acky is doing all he can to protect his people. This Dark Talon organization... That is what causes trouble. Luckily, they have very little presence here, but the war is against them. They are making us rot from the inside out."

"Which makes it more important that EC3 and the retired Admiral find the Hand of Ed2d2, whatever it is, quickly," commented Senator Fries of the Eggplant Sector.

Suddenly, a blue light lit up the room, indicating a news event. Turnip raised an eyebrow, turned to his console, then frowned. "Talon has taken Cornscant and Applaina. Their forces are seeming to surround the Cornscant II sector, the Produce Republic's former 'hidden' sector where we took refuge during the Intecid invasion."

"Speaking of the Intecids," said Senator Yum, the news advisor. "They may have no inner conflict... but that seems to be because an invasion effort is uniting them. As you know, there is a rather large strip of independent planets, not even affiliated with the Triad, that has served as a sort of neutral zone... buffer planets, if you will."

"Don't tell me the Intecid Remnant is invading them," said President Turnip with a look of dismay.

Senator Yum nodded grimly. "I'm afriad so. The Talons are invading Triad space, the Intecids are invading neutral planets, this Ecky character is threatening and invading the north Outer Rim (north referring to the standard galactic map- space north), and Garmoons are leading terrorist actions and rebellions all over the place. Add that to Corran Horn's attempts at new government, and we have chaos."

"As you said," said Seed slowly. "EC3 had better find this Hand of Ed2d2 quickly."

"Even if he does," said Senator Glenn. "Will he find it on time?"

"I have established an agenda. The Garden itself will move to Triad space to protect and to hopefully aide in improving the conditions of living there." Acky looked at the holos, "As for the rest of you, I want you increase fleet and planetary shield production. All planets must be able to protect their self for approximately two standard days while under a bombardment. That allows for time for a fleet to arrive and help."

Acky nodded and the holos clicked off one by one.

The Garden jumped for hyperspace.

"Rulers of the Mega-Verse," began Aaron. "This is Aaron, commander of the Red Arrow Mercenary Squad. We are a neutral organization that wish to help bring order to the galaxy and defeat the likes of Talon, Ecky, Kaar, Fett, Failure, and the Intecids. Our enemies are numerous, and alone, we cannot hope to stand up to them. However, it has become obvious that as one group we have been uneffective as well. Thus my splintering. A knock on the door startled Corran "enter." he said "Sir," a young guard walked in and handed him a datapad "a message has just arrived for you from Aaron requesting an alliance with you and some other governments."

"Thank you, get a hold of the council members and tell them there will be a meeting in two hours." Corran told him "Yes sir."

Later that evening the council members had joined in the council chambers all waiting and wondering what news had come. When Corran finally came he motioned for them to sit down "Members of the council I have called you here for a reason," he started "I have recieved a message from Aaron a member of the Red Arrow mercenary squad, the RAMS, as I prefer to call them, wish an alliance with us and some other powers of this galaxy, I am here to ask you for your guidance, what do you think we should do?"

Gorlan, an Admiral of one of their fleets replied "This is a very dangerous decision,it may be a trap, yet it may also be a genuine offer, and we need as many alliances as we can have, we could not survive if this is a trap, but I suggest we go for it." many of the council members nodded their heads in aggreeance

"All right then all in favor raise your hands...out of the sixteen present thirteen raised their hands, "Governor Rafere, do you oppose this this decision?" Corran asked the newly appointed governor "I do not support it or oppose it, it is too early to be making alliances and as Admiral Gorlan said it is much to dangerous, if our fleets were to fall in a trap our people would panic and our government would fall"

"Although though I do respect your opinion governor, I feel that if we dont establish a foot hold in the galaxy we will not prevail when the time comes, also the majority rules, I will contact Aaron immediately and give him our answer."...

"-and so we ask you to come to Naboo so we can more discuss our plan of action." Corran said to Aaron on the holonet "I accept, I will be there in three days."

Three days passed.
Corran's flagship orbited closely around Naboo's only moon, awaiting the rendezvous with Aaron's mercenary wing.

The ships came out of hyperspace in pinpoint formation, two ahead, two rear guards, two above, two below, four more in a diamond wedge straight in the center, surrounding an eliptical Lancer frigate with weapons protruding out of every orifice in the ship's hull. The Ram's Head was it name. It was a top of the line vessel. Newly refitted by Intecid scientists with a costly transwarp drive, cloaking device, and molecular shielding. The surrounding K-Wings or kiwis as they had come to be known in battle, immediately flew out of escort formation, ahead of their carrier and buzzed Corran's flagship.

"Highly irregular..." one of Corran's leutenants said.

Corran looked away from the passing kiwis to face the non-com. "What?"

The younger man looked up at his commanding officer. "The ...The Ram's Head seems to be putting out a false transponder signal and they've engaged sensor jammers and are scrambling all comm frequencies."

As if to give credence to Aaron's odd behaviour, the kiwi fighters formed a six point star attack wedge and began firing on Corran's cruiser. "Evasive action!" Corran yelled over the thunder of cannon fire. "Return fire, all batteries on rotating phase variance."

The shields took another hit. Corran was thrown from his chair and hit the deck hard. "It's no use, sirs, The Ram's Head has engaged her molecular shieding. She's just sucking our shots and turning the energy right back on us!"

Corran ordered them to stop firing. The Ram's Head no longer had any power to draw off of and its cannons quicly depleted themselves. The kiwis continued to launch protein tortillas at Corran's vessel, but quickly backed off when the Naboo navy intervened.

A sector away a scattered group of kiwi fighters were picked up by a BTCS carrier. The had lost the battle. Talon would not be happy. Aaron's RAMS were still out there somewhere, undefeated, just wounded. Talon had only forestalled the peace process with Naboo, but he had brought himself some time, nonetheless.

EC3 starred into the sky, which was filled with thousands of balls of plasma streaking into the atmosphere and striking targets. Things were not good at all.

The team searching for the Hand of Ed2d2 had arrived at a small planet called Juice in an attempt to locate a datafile containing information about rumors of a "hidden system in the midst of the galaxy" with technology so brilliant that "all is excelled hundreds of years ahead of our galaxy." However, just as EC3 had landed on the planet, the Intecid Remnant, following an invasion path through the neutral planets, had started to attack. Pear was in his flagship above coordinating ship resistance, but it seemed only a matter of time until the planet's surface defenses would fall.

And EC3 was stuck in an overgrown library, with no idea where to go in the city, unable to help anyone.

As sirens signaling citizens to go to shelters roared and students ran through the library to the nearest shelter, a loud speaker started up and began issuing instructions. "All citizens report to the nearest shelter... we are under attack! Please report to your nearest shelter."

Figuring that he had better get off the planet, EC3 began to follow the students out the door towards the shelter. Suddenly, a shreik rang through the library and one of the women in the middle of the throng collapsed beneath the stampede of students. Even amid her cries and yelps, the other students ignored her. His heart beating with the ferocity of a pineapple being thrown into a sea of kiwis, EC3 dove down, making sure to clear an area around the woman, and attempted to get her to her feet. As she struggled to get up, the last of the students cleared the library and the lights dimmed, the city's power resources being routed to the shelters and the escape ships held within.

"Two minutes until launch!" announced a voice over the speaker. "Everyone get into a shelter within the next two minutes!"

"You can leave me! You'd better get to the shelter!" shouted the woman, her blue eyes wide with resignation.

"I have my own ship. Come on," said EC3 . He them lifted the woman into his arms and dashed out of the library. They reached the ship in five minutes as the shelters rose into the sky. The city took an ominous tone as Intecid ships began streaking into the ground, releasing troopers to capture the surface.

As EC3 settled into the pilot's chair of his spanich grape and started up the engine, he turned toward the woman he had saved and realized that she looked quite beautiful. She looked about twenty two years of age and had stunning blue eyes and flowing brown hair that seemed to shine...

"Gee, I'd like to thank you for saving me down there," the woman said. "Most people would have just left me... Who are you? You don't look like you're from Juice.

EC3 smiled as the ship blasted towards space. "My name is EC3. I'm from the Produce Remnant. I'm searching for the Hand of Ed2d2."

"You actually believe the Hand exists?" the woman asked. "By the way, I'm Alison Orange..."

"Nice to meet you, Alison. You know about the Hand?"

"Everyone on Juice does... Ed2D2 stopped by twenty years ago and funded a lot of buildings. There's an urban legend floating around that he was doing this to cover up a research project to rebuild an elite society," said Alison as if it were common knowledge.

"You know more than I do..." said EC3.

The ship had just locked in to Pear's tractor beamed. EC3 looked at Alison and admired those shining eyes, that pretty face...

"What's happening?" asked Alison, surprised at the huge ship pulling them in.

"That's Admiral Pear's flagship... We're going to escape."

"I need to know where my family is."

"We will arrange a query. The Intecids are too close to establish communication now," said EC3 as the Spinich Grape entered the Lettuce Destroyer docking bay.

Alison stared at the Intecid ships, watching the world that had been her home forever being gripped from her...

***

Pear looked back on the planet before issuing the order to enter hyperspace. Luckily, all shelter ships had escaped, but Pear was stunned by the efficiency of the invasion.

Things really had gotten bad.

"Corran, I don't have a ship called the Ram's Head. In fact, I don't have half the fire power that they turned loose on you. The Arrows are a commando squad, first and foremost." Aaron banged the console in frustration. "Come on, man, you gotta believe me."
Corran frowned as he looked on. "It is highly suspicious."
"Look, why would I have a Ram's Head? My organization isn't even officially known as the Rams. We're the Arrows, to anyone inside the organization."
Corran shook his head. "I'm sorry, Aaron, but I can't trust your honesty in this." The communication flickered off.
Aaron banged both hands on the console. "Damn! When I get my hands on that slimy excuse for a-"
"Such frustration, Aaron."
Aaron spun, to see Ecky materielize before him. His jaw dropped, and he reached for his sidearm before he realized it was just a holograhm.
Ecky gestured. "Like my new toy? It allows me to open communication with anyone."
"Wonderful. I'm so proud of you," Aaron answered sarcastically.
"Shut up. I, as well, intercepted your communication. I am particuarly annoyed with the information about the chip in my head."
Aaron swallowed hard. "You weren't supposed to know about that."
"Yes, I gathered as much. However, my quest is not one of vengence. Rather, understanding."
Aaron folded his arms. "You're not still trying for that alliance thing."
"Of course. Think about it; we could exchange information a little more...legitimately."
Aaron smirked. "The way I see it, an alliance benefits you more than anyone else. I already can get the information I need."
Ecky frowned. "You realize it would be just as easy for me to wage war on you myself. You are insignificant compared to the vastness of my fleet."
"Perhaps, but-" His sensors lit up with enemies.
"@#%$! I'll get back to you."
Aaron readied the ship for combat. "Al, you got a read on their compisition yet?"
"A light cruiser, and a couple Piggly-Wiggly class. And a buttload of fighters."
"Wonderful. We can't fight that. Prepare for hypearspace."
"Uh, they're in the way."
"Crap. Uh, crap."
Suddenly, a large fleet arrived in system and engaged the BTCS ships. It was quick and clean. Ecky's fleet only lost one ship.
"Now, will you join me?" asked Ecky.
"Um, sure."

The battles had been easily won. Due to Acky's requiring of his planets to be fully self-sufficient, all the ships were able to go to help gain back the planets Acky had lost. And whenever Talon forces destroyed one of Acky thousands of ships in the attacking force, more came to fill the broken spot in the ranks from the orbital shipyards that were producing at 200% capacity. Over three ships a month.

Darkness had swept the Undergrowth Territory, and Acky had shed some light on it. Acky had also been lucky enough to capture some planets that were never his.

During the capturing, Acky had been about to get ahold of some Talon officers who were more than willing to get out of the BTSC organization after seeing Acky's fire power.

The galaxy presumed Acky dead from the great space conflict Acky had staged to get them to think just that. Talon would think that Acky died in a run in with Talon ships.

To keep this illusion, Acky had worn his cloak everywhere and made new tactics. He also closed off the holo-Council chambers so that the council members would believe this illusion as well.

HoT had left to meet with someone (VM) at the time Acky was presumed dead in that space conflict and Ganner had gone willingly with Acky's plan.

The Garden and it's ships at times would seem uncorridinated to make the BTSC and the galaxy for that matter believe the Garden and fleet were being controled by rogue crew members, unsure of what to do.

And now, with several former BTSC's, and a fleet of millions of ships with more being produced each day (Including a new starship design), Acky was read to dive straight into Talon territory by spiliting his fleet up and all coming in at different angles. Taking the planets that Talon controled one-by-one, and eventually, finding out who the leader of the BTSC was AND take him and his organization down, once and for all.

The command chair on the bridge spun around and Acky pointed ahead, "To the next Talon planet! On to Carotopia!"

* * *

Things looked strong for the Intecids. A new leader had arrisen, one of power and might. How else would things have run so smoothly for them?

1kFalcon was sent into a star to make sure she wasn't able to screw up the Intecids any more than she had.

Rising to accept this power, was none other than Admrial Kettch himself. (Kettch had gotten tired of BTSC and Talon's rule. So-he came to the Intecids!)

Oh joyous day!

Aaron and Ecky met over holograhm. "So you see, Aaron, that the 2nd fleet of Ed2d2 could give us an edge. All the other fleets have been discovered by various factions (aside from the main fleet, of course), and each have benefited from the technology gain. However, the 2nd fleet is the most powerful. You have seen the Triad's recent power. The 2nd, according to my calculations, will blow that one away in terms of power. We could defeat Talon easily."
Aaron nodded. "I'm assuming you have a lead on finding this fleet."
"Several. Apparently, the location of the fleet is hidden in three datacards in three different locations. We must find all three. But they are carefully guarded. The first you are particuarly adept at recieving."
"And that is?"
Ecky punched a couple buttons. A rotating planet appeared on the screen next to him. Aaron's mouth went dry. He'd recognize that planet anywhere. "The first card is located on your homeplanet of Garqueesh."

T.O. I'm going to further develop this. Don't mess it up.

Three weeks later, the Garden advanced on the final Talon territory in the "Outer Rim of Talon Territories". If he, and the other fleets coming to join him could take the planet, BTSC would have only about 100 planets left out of an original 1200. Acky was working hard.

His planets continued to produce ships, many of which went to defend newly taken Talon territories. Many of the Talon planets welcomed someone else to lead them, rather than Talon. In turn, the planets worked to become self-sufficient, as Acky's other planets were.

Thanks to the Talon opperatives Acky had captured, he now had a semi-accurate map of Talon territories, assuming the opperatives weren't lying.

The galaxy continued to assume Acky dead, but were growing slightly suspicious as the Garden and the rest of it's fleet grew more powerful...No one was quite sure how a, basically, brand new leader could have that much control.

Meanwhile, Acky traveled to one planet of particular interest to him: Garqueesh. He had a faint danger sense, so to speak, thanks to Qel's powers, but he wasn't sure of that danger sense's meaning. So leaving Ganner incharge of the Garden and taking the final Talon planet, Acky "rented" a ship and took a little vacation....

The small shuttle docked on Garqueesh, and Acky waited for the cool down procedures to end. When they did, he pulled on his cloak, completely covering his face. Reaching inside his cloak to make sure his lightsaber was there, it was, Acky smoothed the front of the cloak and lowered the ramp.

Garqueesh wasn't the nicest of planets, but it was there.

As Acky walked down the street nearest the docking bay, looking for whatever it was that triggered the danger, the sense got stronger.

The danger sense beat against his head like a hammer, constantly hitting...over and over and over again. Acky dropped to one knee just in time as a blaster blot flew over his head.

A voice came from behind him, "Stop there, /friend/."

Acky couldn't place the voice, but could tell the "friend" part was faked. Acky had so much of a barrier around himself through the force, not even a Jedi could tell who he was.

'Or are Qel's powers more recognizable through the force? Do they 'leak' out, alerting people to my presense?' Acky thought.

"Stop, please!" The voice said. It was closer this time.

Acky got up on one knee, and moved like he was going to stand up. Instead he got into a spriting position and bolted. Down the street he ran, weaving left and right to avoid both people and the blaster shots that rained down the street after him, sending people falling to the ground.

Acky ducked around a market stall and down an alley. The alley was deserted and the light acted sucked out of the alley.

Leaping behind a trash receptacle, Acky crouched and watched for the blaster-weilding foe. The blaster fire continued past the alley, killing more people. Then came the owner of the blaster. The owner looked around and then came down the alley!

Acky glanced behind himself and instead of the rest of the alley, a wall. The alley was a dead end!

The blaster man was almost ontop of Acky now, and that's when he saw the window. It was open! Acky could leap in..except it was twelve stories up. He'd have to use the force, and in turn, give himself away.

He had no other choice. Dropping the force barrier, Acky leapt with all the force he could manage past the blaster man and up to the window. Up..up...and the window! Acky reached out, but he had overshot! He kept flying and gripped the edge of the roof and pulled himself up.

The blaster fire started again and Acky head the ignite of engines. The man had a jet pack on and was coming over the edge of the roof.

Acky turned and backed to the edge of the roof, opposite the blaster man. Then blaster fire started coming from the street he was about to jump over! Acky had to leap forward as not to get hit from below.

The man landed on the room and spoke again, "Why must you run from me?"

Acky recognized the voice now. Ecky's. But did Ecky recognize him?

Coughing, Acky pulled on a fake voice, "Why must you chase me? Can you not ask me to talk with you peacefully?"

Ecky laughed and threw back his hood. It was Ecky. "You know who I am now...Who are you?"

"What makes you so sure that I know who you are? You have revealed your face to me, nothing more. Do you think you have galactic wide popularity that everyone knows who you are?

Ecky grinned, "A wise cracker, I take it."

Acky reached in his cloak and grabbed his lightsaber, "I have had enough of this game."

"And who's playing?"

Igniting the lightsaber, Acky leapt forward and advanced on Ecky. Ecky inturn, ignited his own lightsaber.

"Where did you get that?" Acky asked.

"From my dead brother!" Ecky replied.

Acky fumed, "No you didn't."

Ecky grinned, "And who would you be to know that?"

Acky threw back the cloak and it floated to the streets below, "Because I'm your brother!"

Ecky deactivated the lightsaber and laughed. Acky stood in a battle ready position, confused.

Ecky, when he was able to stop laughed looked at Acky, "I'm glad you liked your 'dead' time brother! Because now the galaxy knows that you aren't dead!"

Acky, still confused looked up to see a Galactic News Network speeder hanging over the building. Ecky knew it was him all along, somehow and had tricked Acky into revealing himself, putting an end to his protection as 'dead'.

Fighting back his anger, Acky looked for a way out. He reached onto the force and pulled the GNN (Galactic News Network) speeder down. At the same time, he hurtled himself away.

The GNN speeder crashed into the building, blowing up on contact. As Acky was landing at the docking bay, he saw Ecky go flying.

As much as he hoped Ecky was destroyed, Acky knew Ecky too well to hope him dead. He also remember the last time they believed Ecky dead.

* * *

HoT leaned back at the bar and watched the Galactic Ball game. The Tri's were beating the Ging's by three. Hos Tke got the ball and glided toward the scoring ring...he shot and the ball flew from his hands and...and...the GNN "Breaking News" logo came on.

"Great!" HoT muttered, "I place a bet and now I don't even know if I win or not!"

The Quaren anchor began, "We have breaking news-

"Duh" HoT said to himself.

"-today about Undergrowth Triad leader Acky."

"You mean /former/ leader Acky.. He's dead!" HoT talked to the TV, ignoring the stares of the people around him.

"-This footage was shot from a GNN Cam-Speeder thanks to a tip from Ecky.-"

"ECKY?"

"-It shows Ecky tricking Acky to fight him and revel that he's not dead.-"

Gasps went up from the bar.

The footage played as the anchor kept talking, "-Acky then used the force to destroy our speeder, killing Ecky in the process. Could this mean that the former hero of the galaxy has turned to the dark side? More that 6."

The anchor cut off and the game clicked on, but HoT wasn't interested anymore. He ran to a shuttle and hoped to get back to the Garden.

"The only thing I find confusing," said EC3 as he sat on the bridge of Pear's Lettuce Destroyer, "is why Acky was visiting Garqueesh in the first place."

"That's what I was thinking about, too," said Alison, who was sitting across the small table from EC3.

Pear closed his eyes, turning the possibilities over in his mind. He often did this when thinking about space strategies or when watching one of Fett's famous mystery holograhms...

Suddenly, Pear's eyes opened. "I just thought of something. I hope I'm not right."

"What is it?" asked Alison.

"EC3: early in your search, did you not find something that hinted that instructions on how to find the Second Fleet of the Hand of Ed2d2 could be found on Garqueesh?"

EC3 raised an eyebrow. "Yes, I did. But that poem Professor Feingold sent us said that no more fleets would be leaving the Hand of Ed2d2. That rumor must have been false."

"But Acky didn't read the poem, he must have just heard the rumor..." said Pear.

"Which means someone tricked Acky into following that path-"

HoT arrived at the Garden to find Acky. "Acky, I thought you were dead!"

Acky sighed, tiredly. "That was sort of the idea. Not everything went according to plan. I can't believe Ecky tricked me so easily."

HoT shook his head. "There was no way you could've known. Ecky is very adept at masking his presence, afterall. He hid himself from the Jedi for years during the Intecid scourge. Don't blame yourself. You still made a lot of progress against Talon. Your 'death' made his troops lax and overconfident. We may've lost that edge now, but you still accomplished a lot."

Acky nodded in resignation. "Agreed. But we're not done yet!"

HoT mock-saluted, "Yessiree! Don't worry. The situation is well under control. Vong Master has relocated his academy to the Galaxy's Chylde NGJ vessel, so they will no longer be at risk to the BTCS invasion forces. Boba Fett has reinforced the Wild Sectors against Talon invasion and Aaron has been working on crippling Talon's supply lines and has been stopping his intelligence network. EC3 is searching for the HoE and Corran is developing an independent state. Finally, Admiral Kettch..."

As if on cue, an image of Kettch shimmered into existence on the bridge. "Kettch!" HoT gasped, "How?"

"Silence, Hand of Thrawn. Acky, in vengeance for my imprisonment and that of my peoples, I declare this ultimatum. We are now formerly at war with the Produce Republic and the Triad. While I agree that I had to be punished for my treachery in service to my master, Talon, you should not have mistreated the Chocolate Sith people. We will not rest until you have been destroyed and wiped out of the Mega-Verse forever more!"

Talon smiled, as he often had of late. Granted, he'd lost a vast amount of territory to Acky's onslaught, but it would soon be his once more. Acky was no longer seen as the people's champion but as a harbinger of doom. He had committed war crimes against Kettch's worlds and had assaulted the planets of the BTCS, which was being toted as a legitimate government, that the people had willingly flocked to. This action had also sparked conflict between the Garmoon and the Produce, now at war on three fronts. Meanwhile, Talon's spies in Intecid military had persuaded Kettch to retaliate against the Triad.

Kenobi had returned to help Vong Master with his NGJ Academy, while HoT and Acky remained with the Triad, awaiting the return of EC3 and the HoE.

T.O. I said SPECIFICALLY that I was going to do that Garqueesh thing! And you take it and do it yourself! I am extremely pissed, because I had some very good stuff I wanted to do with that. And you just screwed it up! You didn't help, Ed2D2. Dammit! I don't know how I'm gonna salvage this!
T.I.
Aaron stepped off the Red Arrow on his old home world with Al Toids. He breathed in deeply, tasting the Garqueesh air. "It's been too long," Aaron muttered to himself.
Al frowned. "So, where are we going?"
"To Grape Rapids. It's a decent sized city on the largest continent. I've got some...friends there."
"I don't like the sound of that."
Aaron shrugged. "You're very observent. However, Ecky informed me that his scouting run revealed it to be in the outskirts. And apparently, he succeeded in exposing Acky. I don't know whether that was a good decision; Acky's drive against Talon will most definitely be stopped now, but whatever. I suppose our association with Ecky will make us the next targets."
Al sighed. "Are you sure that this is a good idea?"
"He did save our lives. Most likely so we can procure the 2nd fleet for him. But we're playing a different game."
"How so?"
"I was in contact with EC3 recently. Apparently, the 2nd fleet doesn't actually exist. It was recalled to protect the HoE a long time ago."
"So this is just a wild grape chase."
"Precisely. But we can make it more. I've talked to EC3, and he thinks the data will give the previous location of the 2nd fleet. He wants to draw Ecky into a confrontation there. If possible, Kettch, Talon, Failure and Fett as well."
"If we can draw all five fleets there, we can weaken all our enemies at once."
"Precisely. Plus, it will distract them from their search for the real deal. EC3 has his own hints he's following for that."
"Isn't this a little unmoral, playing Ecky for a fool? Not to mention that we might get Acky caught up in this."
Aaron shrugged uneasily. "Maybe. But the risk has to be taken. We both know that Ecky will break our alliance as soon as the opportunity arises. I've read as much from his thoughts. The longer we can keep ourselves useful, the longer EC3 can search for the Hand. As for Acky, he's already turned down our alliance. Whatever happens to him happens, and at this point, I don't really care." Aaron turned toward the airspeeder rental. "Come on. Let's go."
T.O. If anyone TOUCHES this plot, I'm gonna make life miserable for his/her character. (Do we have any hers?)

Time out:

I would like to reinforce my request that no one post anyone finding the Hand of Ed2d2 or equivelent Hands in that system without my permission. I would also like to request that no one post anything taking place inside the Hand (unless talking about one of the four fleets that have been found).

Time in:

Admiral Pear stood aboard his flagship Lettuce Destroyer watching as his ship's computer counted down to hyperspace. Things were getting very difficult. It seemed that wherever EC3 visited to seek the Hand of Ed2d2, the Intecids attacked. And though Pear's communication officers had been attempting to contact refugee camps to find Alison's family, the effort had not succeeded so far.

"Three seconds..." At this call, Pear stood up straight, awaiting the jump to hyperspace.

It didn't come.

The navigation officer on duty frowned and attempted to enter hyperspace again. Nothing happened. "Something's wrong," the officer said, he eyes wide with concern. "The hyperdrive is in working condition. Our mechanics report everything is normal. There must be some sort of disturbace..."

As if on cue, the Lettuce Destroyer shook with the impact of a laser blast. "I guess that answers our question," said Pear calmly. "Put shields on full, prepare a squadron for launch, and contact our attackers. What sort of ship are they attacking with?"

A bridge officer scanned the ship and turned around to face Pear. "Sir, they have a B-type SuperOrange. About twice as big as a Lettuce Destroyer. From the signal they're sending, my guess is that it's a Talon ship."

"And they're contacting us through the Holograhm Cracker channels."

Pear nodded once. "Launch that squadron and put them on the hologram projector."

As EC3 walked onto the bridge, wondering what was happening, an image of Kaar appeared.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Admiral Pear. I see EC3's idiocy has spread."

"I recommend you stop attacking us so we can discuss this as civilized people," said Pear cooly.

"Only if you surrender to our forces and let us find the Hand alone," said Kaar with a sneer. "I will give you ten minutes..."

"Forget it," said EC3 as he walked next to Pear. "We're not surrendering."

Kaar sneered again, then turned to a Talon officer. "Deploy the Pesticide Spray."

Pear gasped slightly, breaking his calm appearance. Presticide Sprays were very powerful, but also illegal. However Talon got a hold of one...

"I will give you ten seconds to surrender immediatly or be destroyed."

"No," said EC3, a slight panic creeping into his voice. "We will not."

"So be it," said the image of Kaar. Turning to her officer again, she said "Deploy the..."

Suddenly, the hologram shifted out of focus, everything merging into a blur. It only took a glance at the viewport to see that a new ship had exited hyperspace. It was the size of the SuperOrange, but unlike Pear or EC3 had ever seen before. Suddenly, another image appeared on the holograhm projector. EC3 squinted, trying to make out who the captain of the new ship was. As the image cleared, he couldn't believe his eyes...

The captain of the new ship was a split image of Kaar!

"Talons," the captain said. "I recommend you disengage."

"Imposter!" the Talon Kaar cried. "Get out of this! I thought I was rid of you a long time ago!"

"EC3, long time no see," the captain who looked a lot like Kaar said. "I am the real Kaar, the Kaar that fought the emergence of this traitorous clone..."

"I'm the real Kaar!" cried the Talon Kaar. "Ed2D2 isn't tricked! We even got married..."

"On my recommendation," said the Captain Kaar with a smile. "I'd be willing to bet he never even touched you!"

Talon Kaar's eyes filled with the look someone gets when they just realized something. "You wretched thing! That's why he never touched me! He never even held my hand!"

"Not that you loved him anyway. You married him so no one would be suspicious when Talon suddenly knew everything about the Remnant," said the Captain Kaar with another smile. "Your effort at killing me did not stop me from contacting Ed2D2. He knew the whole time you were a clone."

EC3 raised an eyebrow. So THAT was why Keri and Ed2D2 had found a trace of red in Kaar's hair: by that time, the real Kaar had been chased away and the clone Kaar had taken her place! EC3 looked back to when he had rescued who he thought had been Kaar...

That had been the real Kaar, alright. The clone Kaar must have taken her place after EC3 and Kaar had taken Ed2D2 and Keri's places in the prison so they could escape.

The real Kaar looked right into the eyes of the clone Kaar. "Maybe Talon would like to know the real father of your child... A certain Admiral Kettch if I remember right."

The clone's eyes were steeped in a boundless, uncontrollable rage. "You witch! You ruined everything! Mark my words, if Talon ever find you, he will kill you! We had everything planned out! I almost killed you, for Force sake! But no! You have to stay and ruin everything! You had to make it so Ed2D2 knew I was a clone the whole time. And now you're just ruining my life! Just LEAVE!"

The real Kaar stayed calm, as if she had been waiting for this momment for years. "You have no right to complain. You took away my life. You made it look like I betrayed the government I loved so much. You ruined the lives of my friends, and caused my friend's Ed2D2's life to be lost. You tried to kill me. You disgraced my name."

"I have no time for this! Prepare to die!" screamed the clone Kaar. "Consider this a gift from Talon!" Turning to her officer once more, she commanded, "deplay the Insecticide..."

Suddenly, the clone Kaar's ship exploded into flames. EC3 and Pear watched in amazement as the true Kaar's ship decimated the SuperOrange with a series of powerful laser bursts. With a bright intensity, the SuperOrange exploded into nothingness, destroying Kaar's evil clone.

The true Kaar fell back into her seat. By this time, Alison had entered the bridge and was watching everything in silence.

"I have waited five year's to take back my identity," said the true Kaar slowly, almost releaved. Her image turned to EC3. "You will tell the Remnant, wont you? Tell them I never betrayed them."

EC3 wiped a tear of happiness. "So you didn't betray me after all... How... what... how did this happen?"

Kaar sighed, then spoke slowly, painfully remembering the worst thing that had ever happened to her. "As you know, after I almost destroyed the Dark Chocolates, everyone thought I was dead. I was very much injured, and you brought me back to good health. But Talon already had made arrangements to clone me. He was going to use the clone as a terror tactic and espionage agent.

"But then I came back with you. That changed everything. Talon deployed the clone, and as soon as I found out about the clone, I realized that she was already taking over my life. The only person I told was Ed2D2. We planned secretly to reveal the clone. A part of this plan was to have Ed2D2 pretend to fall in love with 'me', who was by then the clone."

The true Kaar blushed slightly. "By that time, it wasn't too hard for him to pretend. We were already in love and dating. Anyway, the night before Keri was murdered, the clone tried to kill me. I was forced to flee, but I was able to tell Ed2D2 about what was happened.

"So I was away while Ed2D2 continued pretending, trying to continue the plan. Meanwhile, I was in a certain system..."

"Let me guess," said EC3 with a smile. "You were on the Hand of Ed2d2."

Kaar smiled back. "Correct. I knew Ed2D2 was occupied, so I assisted in establishing his Hand... the Hand of Ed2D2."

"So now there are truly two hands?"

"Actually, there are three," Kaar paused. "You will find out about that later. Just remember this: continue trying to seek the System of the Hands. It is your destiny. I will wait for you there."

EC3 wiped another tear. "Do you have to go now?"

"I'm afraid I do... Until we meet again," with another paused, Kaar turned to Admiral Pear and said "it was good to see you, too, John."

Admiral Pear smiled. "It's been a long time, Kaar. I thought we had lost you forever. I thought you actually had joined Talon."

"I'm sorry you had to be hurt," said Kaar. "I must go."

"Good bye, Kaar," said EC3, tears now running freely down his face.

"I just have one question," said Pear. "Where did you get that ship?"

Kaar grinned. "I told you there were three hands. The Hand of Ed2d2, the Hand of Ed2D2, and the Hand of Kaar."

"I see," said Pear with a grin.

"Farewell. I will see you when you find the Hand of Ed2d2," said Kaar. With that, the hologram of her faded and her ship entered hyperspace.

Silence filled Pear's ship. Everyone was at a loss for words.

"Well," said Pear, breaking the silence. "We owe it to everyone to tell them about this."

"Yes," said EC3 slowly.

And so they contacted the Remnant and the Triad to tell them that Kaar had not betrayed them afterall.
