Posts: 4617 05/12/06 4:11 PM	Tags : None People nowadays only buy Xbox's for one reason, to play Halo. I like most things about the game, and I think that it is close to what the epitome of a FPS should be. Granted, the gameplay is somewhat unrealistic, but it's not so bad. The music and graphics are excellent. I went out and bought the soundtracks to both games, and enjoy listening to them. I referenced Halo in one of my essays/tirades defending video games and decrying the peopel who vilify them. I mentioned the other, more aesthetic bits of the game. Any thoughts? ---The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. Posts: 1934 05/12/06 4:23 PM	Actually I have the Xbox for Star Wars, better graphics, and better games. Halo is one of my favorite multiplayer games--by multiplayer I mean 4 friends in a room. Actually, I've never played the campaign mode on either of them. I only play when my small group meets on Wednesday and my friend brings Halo 2. Seems to be a very enjoyable game, but I'm kinda scrapping all the money I can find for the Legacy hardcover Long live Kyle Katarn! "Well it has big trees, in case your eyes don't work anymore." Posts: 503 05/12/06 5:16 PM	The Halo games are really good, played the first one through on "Legendary" with my flat mate, it took us months to finish! I imagine it be impossible on that setting in single player.

Posts: 679 05/12/06 5:30 PM	Funnily enough I finally bought this today on PC, only a tenner. Considering people chucked "Best Game Ever" awards at this, I think it's a bit overrated. I remember I heard that if you completed Halo 2 on Legendary, there was a date in the credits, a few months after the game came out, and a load of idiots thought it was the release date for Halo 3, as if they'd had time to make it. Halo 2 is scheduled for PC release sometime within the next year, the exact date isn't out yet, but there is talk on it being for the new Microsoft OS, there is also a HALO movie which has started production they are working on the script and Peter Jackson is having part to do with that, thou he is not the director.
