Anyone ever read these books by R. A. Salvatore?? I find them very good. I am only at the end of the legacy series but can not wait to read the other 10 or so books there are.

ya, i got myself hooked on those too, i've still got to pick up a copy of 'the silent blade' because it was released when i was out of the country and due to being out of the country, i'm at a lack of cash, but soon, then i'll go on from there, there's also a new book coming out sometime in september which is after the hunter's blades trilogy, i can't wait.

Yeah I saw there was the new trilogy comeing out but I have some catching up to do before that. I have only just finished the one where Wulfgar comes back, I cant remember the name of it right now. I did think that it was kind of silly that they brought him back.

I'm waiting for the re-release on 'The Spine of the World' i've read all up to this point, but ya, 'the orc king' comes out september, that's the first in th new trilogy, i've also skipped to and started selswords while waiting for 'the spine' to come out, i'm in the middle of 'Promise of the Witch King' though the selswords trilogy takes place after 'the spine' but before 'sea of swords' but it's an awesome read, it's all about Entrerri and Jarlaxle

I want to read the selswords because those are 2 of my favorite side chars in these books. I just finished the Hunters Blades trilogy and man it was awesome, I think its the best of the Drizzt triologies yet. Now I really can not wait for The Orc King to come out.

Personally i loved the way it's written, the battle sequences and the characters that you can relate to and so forth with all the other commonly used ways of describing good books. but this series, the actual 'legend of drizzt' takes a little time to get into, i finished the first book wanting to know what happens next, but i was told pits and pieces of what happens later on in the series from friends/online info, etc. and they were some awesome things, like about his scimitars twinkle and icingdeath, as well as the magic bracers and so on, and in looking foreward to these events and/or items i enjoyed the story all the more knowing that it was going to get better once it got to certain points which i had heard about, so, for me anyways, the series just got better and better as excellent events led to more exciting events that i waslooking foreward to and they all came together awesomely and i found it an amazing series. so i recomend that you keep reading, but look into some other websites, or read the backpanels of books nearer to the end of the set and if there's something there that catches your eye or a point that doesn't make much sence but sounds really good then theres your reason to keep going, and to figure out what builds up to that, and you'll enjoy the adventure along the way as it gets there.

Darth Perch you finish Orc King yet? I loved it. spoilers ahead...
So the whole 100 years in the future thing at first flipped my out and I thought the whole book was going to be then. I think it was just kind of a look into the future thing really though but I guess we will not really know untill the pirate king comes out. Another good drow, awesome storyline which was also origional because he didnt have totally pure motives always like Drizzt he just came around to realizeing what was right and what was wrong. Cattie-bri as a mage will be interesting. I thought it was hillarious that when Drizzt killed that Jack guy he was like this is a good robe know any worthy mage? I have always thought their little team needed a mage anyway but I always assumed it would be harkle harpel or mabye rollibard. I am guessing Wulfgar wont stay in Icewindale do long. They always bring him back sooner or later, I actually thought he was going to show up for the last fight with the orcs. It will be interesting to see what the next book has in story but with the title The Pirate King I am hopeing that we get to see Dutermont and Rollibard again, they are fun characters that we havent seen in a while. I did miss haveing Ivan and Pickle in this book, I guess they must of headed back to Cadderly but I dont remember that at the end of The Two Swords. Did you ever read the selswords? I havent gotten around to it yet but I probably will pretty soon especially with the fact that we have to wait like a year for the next Drizzt book to come out. |

Sorry to disappoint, but i haven't started it yet, partially due to being busy, and then also because i'm waiin for the re-prints of Spine of the world and the Sea of Swords to come out so i can buy and read them first, i want to go through the whole story from begining to end so i don't end up spoiling what happens in between, so basically i'll be done orc king about just before the next one is released lol.

Spine of the world's out, the wait was a killer. i don't think i'll be able to last out the wait for sea of swords though, i may have to pick up the older copy and then plow ahead through the hunters blades trilogy (which i already have and are temptation enough to read as it is). but i've started spine of the world, so far so good, no complaints other than there's been no Drizzt yet, so i don't know if this book should even be in the "Legend of Drizzt" if Drizzt isn't in it, either way, Transitions 2 - The Pirate King, doesn't come out 'til october of next year, a little ways away still.

yeah spine of the world i actually found to be the worst Salvatore book I ever read. And there is no Drizzt in it. You just must read it to understand the next book.

Done! thank God, it was killing me, the lack of any Drizzt action whatsoever was... well... lacking.
Now i can't wait for the rerelease of the next one, i think i'm gonna have to borrow it from the library read it, then just purchase it as a collector's thing when it comes out. Then after that i can finally go on to Hunter's Blades and Transitions (though i have an exceptional amount of time until the next one is released, almost a year) Now Where Is That Monkey, I Want To Shoot Something - Jack Sparrow
