Starting Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Jaina realized with a cold shudder that Jacen had not failed. He had sacrificed everything-his name, his family, his reputation, his life- to unite the
galaxy. And now here Jaina was, watching the birth of a galaxywide league of worlds dedicated to working together in peace. Had Jacen won after all?

Star Trek: Voyager - Full Circle. And I think my thoughts on this book are a lot more welcoming/positive than poor Acky and Kirr's.

To be fair, I haven't read Full Circle - only judging it on what others have said about it. I'll be very interested to hear your thoughts on it Nom.

I'm reading the Korean manwha (graphic novel) series called "Bride of the Water God." Sorah is sacrificed by her village to stop a
drought to Habrek, the Water God. Habrek is cursed to be a boy during the day and a man at night, essentially forming two identities for Sorah. Plus, the other
gods are getting in the fix and it's rumored that Habrek's former wife might still be alive. Yes, it's the O.C. with Korean gods but the art is
immensely detailed.
P.S. I tried to copy/paste a picture using the code but it didn't work.
I heart Ordo

Absolutely True Diary of a Part-time Indian....
This is a great book, unlike most the shit I have to read for class. I'm really enjoying it and the characters are all pretty cool

I have just finsihed reading the MORTAL INSTRUMENTS TRILOGY!!!!! These books are SOOOOOO Good. They have been to compared to Harry Potter in some ways and the
Twilight series in others but they are better then both IMO. Really unique and imaginative with characters you really care about. If your looking for a good
read while we wait around for more Star Wars books to be released this is it! The first book is City of Bones followed by City of Ashes then City of Glass by
Cassandra Clare.
"Pride is pretty sneaky", Jacen warned. " It disguises itself pretty well. I hope you'll have a long talk with Uncle Luke at some point.
Unless you don't think even he has anything to teach you". Jacen Solo to his brother, Anakin Solo , Conquest pg.286

I finished in the last few days reading "Du Fu. A Life in Poetry"(2008), a chronologically organized translation by David Young of the poetry of one
of the most famous Chinese poets Du Fu alias Tu Fu(712-770) and "Poems of the Late T'ang"(2009, originally 1965), translated by A. C.
Graham(1919-1991), which consists of poetry of Du Fu and six other poets from late 8th century to mid-9th century China.
I'm currently reading "Cloud Gate Song. The Verse of Tang Poet Zhang Ji"(2006), a rare rhyming verse translation of Chinese poetry. The poet is Zhang Ji(766-830 or 776-829) and the translator is Jonathan Chaves. Enjoyable, but not utterly succesful attempt, I think. I'm also reading a collection of poetry and prose from a Buddhist hermit monk Shiwu(1272-1352), "The Zen Works of Stonehouse. Poems and Talks of a 14-th Century Chinese Hermit"(1999), Shiwu being the equivalent of Stonehouse. This is a very modern free translation from a US translator Bill Porter who rather embrassingly in my opinion uses the nickname Red Pine as his name in these translations. A flick of the hand/and it's rain or storm/wherever I look/change and fickleness/the old ideal of friendship/as loyalty and permanence/has turned into dirt/under our feet. (Friendship, Du Fu page 34.) Our time is confined to one hundred years/but which of us gets them all/hundred-year olds die too/it's only a matter of sooner or latter. (Stonehouse, page 59.) What comes to science fiction, I ordered Paul McAuley's novel "The Quiet War"(2009) which has gotten very good reviews, but the post seems to have succeeded in losing it somewhere.

I mean I could kill a whole weekend watching Spongebob.... I'd watch in the bathtub....on the kitchen table.... hell once the wife and I started watching Spongebob in the garage ...... good times man... I love Spongebob...." -Rev |
