Posts: 89 11/02/09 3:26 PM	The thing I don't understand is that it seems like the whole world goes crazy for the olympics, but they don't pay any attention to any of these sports at any other time. Which is really unfortunate for these other sports, because they have world championships every year (at least track & field and swimming), but nobody could even tell you who wins any of the events. I love lost. Last year I started having viewing parties at my apartment for the new episodes. Last year we were had 5 regulars, but for this season we're going to have at least 7. I'm getting excited. I would shoplift for a klondike bar

Not sure where Daniel almost ruined last season, he didn't have that much to do, but he is dead, while we're seeing a return of some characters I don't think that will last to long

And I'd have to strongly disagree that Daniel didn't have that much to do in season 5. He played an integral role, and was probably one of the key players. He figured out what was happening to the island at the beginning of the season, helped figure out how to stop it, sent for Desmond, and most importantly he told Jack and co. how to completely reset the timeline. I also foresee his scientific knowledge and his family lineage coming back to play a more vital role in the final season -- remember, his mother is Eloise Hawking and his father is Charles Widmore, two very important characters. I think the fact that Eloise killed her own son in the past might drive her to do something crazy in the final season -- maybe even rebel against Jacob himself. Remember, he's been moving them around like pawns for decades, and seemingly has control over life and death (seemingly). The Eloise Hawking of the present seemed to accept the fact that she would have to sacrifice her son for the greater good, as did Charles -- but can a younger Eloise from the past accept it so easily? Posts: 11089 11/09/09 7:09 PM	I think what Preed is saying is that while Dan's role in the S5 was crucial in terms of figuring things out, and explaining them to us, he wasn't physically there for long. He's in the first handful of eps, goes off-island to Dharma HQ, then show up again for one (two?) episodes, only for Mother dearest to shoot him. It all comes back around. :P I personally don't agree with the assertion that he "ruined" S5; in fact I don't think S5 was in any way ruined. But that's just me. The rumor was Daniel's, Boon's, and Charlie's actors signed on for several episodes. They're also trying to get Maggie Grace back, but there is some discussion she may not be able to, due to her schedule. Also, Katey Segal is coming back. OMG KATEY SEGAL IS TOTALLY GODDAMN AWESOME WANT NOW. I actually thinkt that a lot of people will come back, even if only for cameos, in the final season, and we as the audience, will have absolutely no clue. Despite whatever spoilers we do get in advance re: Lost, the producers are really good in this day and age at keeping certain things hidden when they really want to. Claire will return to replace Rousseau in that role? As what? A crazy old lady who's been marooned on the island for 16 or so years? Or merely a "guide" for the Losties? Claire will be like Rousseau - as I understand it - in the sense that she's gone native, so to speak, and is running around toting rifles, acting pseudo-crazy (but not really crazy, just... hardened) and now has relevant information about aspects of the island that her fellow Losties don't necessarily have.
