Sweet, thanks Acky.

Damn Acky, you beat me to the punch.
I can't wait for this movie! I am a huge Indy fan and an even bigger Harrison Ford fan and I really enjoyed Shia Labeouf in his most recent movies. This is going to be awesome and spectacular! ******************

Not bad trailer I would think, considering it didn't show all that much. Certainly better than the Star Trek trailer...
But it did give me some doubts... This happens in 1952, correct? We have a plot by evil Soviets, US flag flying in the wind - and in Washington D.C. Joe McCarthy. We have natives, probably somewhere in Central America, just two years before CIA orchestrated the coup in Guatemala that still makes the country bleed... So this movie is not placed on the most auspicious date. I just hope I don't choke on US patriotism when I watch this. And then we have this fake Crystal Skull - which Indy probably goes claiming to be real and who knows how many innocents souls take all of this as proven correct in the real world.

Must you always be a pessemist?
And this is not a trailer, but teaser trailer I believe, and they usually don't show that much. ******************

I'll say something positive: Based on what I have seen and read about this movie, I'll expect this to be better than the Temple of Doom, which I consider to be far the weakest of the three.

I saw Temple of Doom first and when I was little, so that will always have a warm place in my heart. It is my favorite out of the three actually.

It certainly scared me as a kid, back in 1984. I didn't see in the theaters then, but I did see from TV the scene where the heart is ripped from the chest of one man and the victims are lowered in the burning pits.

I've always been a weird little kid, and I saw it in the late 90s so it just looked fake to me. But I still loved that movie and wished Willie Scott was back for the fourth.

The trailer teaser certainly sparked my interest. Looking forward to seeing Indie again.
I thought Temple of Doom storyline was awful. I didn't like it at all. I felt Spielberg redeemed himself with Last Crusade. |

Well, looks like I've got no choice but to watch it now. *Marks Calendar*
Question: what part does Shia Lebeuf play in the movie? And why does it seem like he's in every other movie? Finally, Harrison Ford looks perfectly fine in this. Take that all you naysayers! He's not too old! |

Re: Temple of Doom | #15 | ||

According to Wikipedia, Shia Leboeuf plays "Mutt Williams", who is "a motorcycle-riding greaser and Indiana's sidekick." "Though it has been rumored Mutt is Indiana's son, Spielberg laughed off the idea: "I wouldn't say it's a father-son story. The new Indy movie is about a great quest, an amazing quest and thats all Im gonna say."
And apparently it happens in 1957, not in 1952. |

I'm actually happy that Shia Labouf is in this movie. I really appreciated his acting in Disturbia and Transformers, and I think he will do good in Indiana Jones.

LOVED the trailer...And I love Shia as an actor even more
To me harrison ford looks like he is on the top of his game in this film. Finally! The guy was never to old for me but some of his more recent films did not seem to suit him. Cannot wait til my friends and I go to the midnight showing. Yes, we are complete dorks like that... |
