Listen young fella. I'm freakin forty. You know how it is with us oldsters. Once we learn the name of something once then that thing and everything
remotely related to it is called that. My Mom still calls the Supermarket near her house "The BPM". It was sold and the name changed in 1975. Have a
good laugh. It'll happen to you too.
Yay!!! New The Crossing.

I don't know what's going on with this. I've been trying to open it for an hour now. It's not readable. It looks like Arabic or something.
I'm thinking I have a language setting wrong but I use Word everyday and never had this happen.
Solved it. I had to download Acrobat Reader because for some reason MS Word 2007 couldn't figure out what it was looking at. All set.

Solved it. I had to download Acrobat Reader because for some reason MS Word 2007 couldn't figure out what it was looking at. All set. Yeah, Word can't open PDFs. Only Acro Reader can. And just an aside, and I don't know whether you'll care, but download Foxit Reader and use that instead of Adobe's product. Acrobat Reader is a very heavy product and consumes a lot of system resources. I don't think Foxit has in-browser capability, but it's worth saving all the PDFs to disk and opening them with Foxit rather than clicking a PDF and waiting 10-15 seconds for the system to muster the necessary resources to open it with AR. |

Fantastic Acky. I really love that TV script format. I felt like I was reading a prequel to the stuff you already released but I think I remember you were
going to do a rewrite on those. I can't wait to see the story progress.
Thanks for the tip DJ. |

ESPECIALLY after the TV Movie, I'll be updating 1.01 and 1.02 to make some of the scenes and comments even more poignant by tweaking the dialogue around.
TV Movie is currently about 30 pages... which normally seems like a lot, except that I'm shooting for a 120-150 page script. I'm early in Act 2... once
I get through that it should be a very fast write... Act 2 is a lot of setup. Acts 3 and (especially) 5 are large action pieces and Act 4 if thinks work out as
I hope will leave you in tears. But I don't want to set myself up too much.
I love the story. I'll tease in a couple weeks... Now just help me spread the word and get more writers. |

More writers is a faster pace... I'm planning to take some time off from Crossing after finishing the TV Movie in order to finish the cg audio drama

in order to finish the cg audio dramaSay what now? Need a good baritone? How does production
on that work. Do you have a studio you can use? Impressions I can do flawlessly; A Klingon, Yoda, Marvin the Martian, Kermit the Frog and the announcer (Ted
Knight) from The Superfriends. Doesn't seem like any of those would be particularly helpful.
What's the time table for the audio drama? Next summer? |

All the recording is done... I finished a rough cut of the dialogue track in early January... I just have to mix it with vocal effects, sound effects, and
music.

It's fricking amazing, Rev. All I could do was stare at the computer screen in awe, and it was only a rough cut. For context, my screen was entirely blank,
and my desktop was a LOLcat I'd seen several hundred times before, so there was actually nothing on the screen to stare at.
And I generally dislike audio-only media. All of the above is completely true. I was just like "eeeee!" |

If it's in MP3 format I could easily rip it into my Sanza. Sounds like good recliner material. An audio drama. The next thing in life to look forward to.

But to be fair, what Dark Jedi heard was a test of the mixing process... very very close to actually being the final cut of that particular scene.

That's cool. I grew up in the tail end of radio dramas. Terrestrial radio used to be reversed from what it is now. AM played music and FM was all talk. You
could listen to serial stories on FM almost up until 1980. It's a format I'm familiar with.

My iPod is full of Jack Benny, Amos & Andy, The Shadow, and the NPR Star Wars Radio Dramas. I think audio is becoming a lost format... there's so much
potential.

They auditioned voices like they audition legs now. The shadow. Great stuff. That bassy voice on the announcer..."Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts
of men.....The Shadow Knows". Ran chills up your spine. Be careful with that Amos and Andy. I'm not sure if it would be considered politically correct
these days.
An audio drama. You are a man out of time Acky. Who'd of thought of that this day and age. You continue to surprise me. |

The page count tabulator of the TV Movie is sitting at 44 right now, as I take a lunch break. I'm hoping to make some serious progress today.
At 44 pages, normally I'd be wrapping up and shutting down... our target for normal episodes is 45 and I've seen that range anywhere from 43 and 44 up to 47. But not now... I did all the blocking last night and I still have TEN more scenes to write for the TV movie just to complete act 2 (of 5). |
