Presumably at some point there were only female descendants and the name left, that or they didn't want the name and everything that came with it.

Yes, perhaps Shan is just a very common name (up there with the gazillion Pavans during PT?) and this person is a descendant on the female side whose some
ancestress had married a guy with the last name of Shan also. Etc.
Bastila could have also had kid(s) with someone else than Revan, considering that he disappeared just a year after KOTOR I and that it seems like permanently. At least I interpreted that the negative aspects (and good abilities) of this new Shan were tied to Bastila instead of them hinting about a family connection to Revan. |

Perhaps if this Jedi is a descendant of Bastilla Shan, then they come from a human culture is where lineage is traced through the mother instead of the father.
Around here, we have a saying that goes "mommy's baby, daddy's maybe". Logistically speaking, for inheritance and lineage purposes, it's
a lot easier and concrete to track legacy through the mother.

So... what's the connection between Revan and Bastila? They had a youngling?

It's assumed, seeing as Revan and Bastila had a relationship last we knew of, and it would be a little dumb to suddenly come and say that she had a kid
with some other guy.
The reason those Jedi didn't mention Revan might have been the fact that they were talking specifically about "the gift" that Bastila and Shatele share, probably Battle Meditation. Also, one might consider the fact that Revan doesn't actually have a canonical last name that we know of. Putting way too much thought into this. |

And maybe the idea that they don't want us to know who the baby's daddy is.

Couldn't it be possible that CARTH and Bastilla had a child after they realized that Revan wouldn't come back?

The fifth issue has been posted!! It takes us to the Outer Rim just after
the Treaty of Coruscant has been signed. The maverick bounty hunter Braden prepares to capture a high-profile target on Dantooine even as the transmission
ordering a comprehensive Republic withdrawal arrives. Though not the only one who hesitates to comply with the treaty, Braden sets himself on a dangerous path
because of the way he reacts to the orders from the Republic commander who hired him.
This was a pretty good issue and it looks like Braden landed himself into a rather precarious position.

The sixth issue has been posted!! This issue brings us back to
Coruscant where the heroic defenders of the Republic's capital planet, Lieutenant Tavus and Jedi Master Orgus Din, have been holed up in the lower levels
since just after the Sith Empire's assault. Unaware that the Treaty of Coruscant has been signed, the pair defends a refugee camp against an attack from
Imperial droids before venturing out to discover the devastation the Sith left behind when they departed.
Pretty cool droids in this issue and Tavus is a badass |

The seventh issue has been posted!! This issue carries us to Korriban where
Sith Lords Baras and Angral have returned from their respective endeavors. There is always discord among the Sith, and the tension between Baras and Angral
promises to grow. Meanwhile, the Wookiee Dalborra and his captive, the Bounty Hunter Braden, are onboard an Imperial transport headed for the Sith homeworld!!
Very interesting issue and I really hope we get to meet the Emperor in the next issue!! |

The eighth issue is up!! It catches up with Jedi Knight Satele Shan and
Master Dar'Nala as they travel to the Outer Rim to ensure that Republic military withdrawals are conducted in accordance with the Treaty of Coruscant.
They're accompanied by the ever-observant Imperial protocol droid SP-99. As Republic and Imperial leaders are adapting to the new galactic landscape, a
disturbing new alliance is developing behind-the-scenes in Nar Shaddaa's criminal Underworld.

The ninth issue has been posted!! This issu concludes the first chapter in
a dramatic fashion when a battle breaks out between Republic and Imperial starships crossing paths in transit. Jedi Master Dar'Nala is captured by the
Imperials, and Satele Shan is marooned in an escape pod with Imperial protocol droid SP-99 and only a small hope of ever being rescued.
I wonder if you rescue Satele Shan in the game?

Issue Ten is up!
"The tenth issue of Threat of Peace™ marks the start of the second chapter of the story, taking us to the embattled world of Balmorra where Republic forces are receiving word that the planet has been ceded to the Sith Empire under the terms of the Treaty of Coruscant. Even as the local commander shares his withdrawal orders with his troops, Jedi Knight Fortris Gall shrugs off his orders to rescue a squad of captured Republic soldiers."

Does anyone know if they plan on keeping this comic up on the site, or will it be taken down sometime before or after the launch of the game?

No idea, but I assume it will stay up to provide background for the game. It will eventually be published in a printed form.
I rather like this new Jedi... That said, I wonder how much this war's memory and the look of the Clone Troopers, their similarity to the Republic Troopers in this war, especially after the revelation that the Sith were involved, blinded the Jedi in the Clone Wars, thinking that they were fighting this old war again? Dooku's raid on Coruscant could be seen in the light of this war, Palpatine as a chancellor for in this case survived etc. It could work well against the Jedi, the Clone Trooper armor being a sign of steadfast support to the Old Republic and the Jedi etc. Then the Clone Troopers are a case of the Sith succesfully using their own past history against the Jedi, turning something familiar from history and drama holovideos of the history of their own Order and the Old Republic into their executioners.

The twelfth issue of Threat of Peace keeps us on board the Imperial transport ship, where

SP-99 is detected by a passing vessel…

According to Starwars-Universe.com, A French site. They have some small info on TOR:
"very reliable source that the game is currently set for October 2010. But keep in mind that we're talking about a videogame, and delays are more than usual especially with MMOs" Jaina realized with a cold shudder that Jacen had not failed. He had sacrificed everything-his name, his family, his reputation, his life- to unite the
galaxy. And now here Jaina was, watching the birth of a galaxywide league of worlds dedicated to working together in peace. Had Jacen won after all?
