NOT READING SPOILERS NOT I'M NOT STOP IT

Just wanted to avoid the sheer hailstorm of spoilers to say that I was losing faith in Heroes. I think the writer's strike really made it lose its wind like when you get surprised punched in the gut and just..... gasp... can't...breathe... again.

But I have faith in a lot of the cast of Heroes, so I kept watching. And that was the only reason. Then I got to Cold Snap which aired here last week (yes, grumble grumble, that's how far behind we are).

AND OMG F**K ME SIDEWAYS HEROES JUST GOT ITS AWESOME BACK AND IT OWNS ITS AWESOME

*MICAH SAUNDERS IS THE REBEL. OMG I should have guessed this given how "Rebel" manipulates technology and such, but it was an OMG twist that was so very rewarding.
*ANGELA PETRELLI IS A BADASS. This was also evident, but I felt like Christine Rose totally took this episode, drenched it in hydrochloric acid, and then made a Moon Hat out of it. Sure, that doesn't make any sense whatsoever but that's how floored I was by her performance. She OWNED this episode. OWNED IT.
*Matt Parkman Jnr! OMG MATT PARKMAN JNR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is a battery booster! He boosts powers! HE'S CUTE AND AWESOME
*Janice Parkman. OMG JANICE PARKMAN!!! HOLY SHITNESS
*Hiro became cool again! I was kinda losing interest in his arc and it was very boring to me, but NOW HE'S AWESOME AGAIN.
*SO IS ANDO.
*Tracy Strauss: Wow, she really did redeem herself. Ali Larter is so HAWT and she really does a credible job of acting out all this random crap the writers throw at her, and she really shone in this episode. I loved how Micah - who is technically her nephew - showed her exactly what a hero is, and I loved that he used his mother as an example of how an ordinary everyday person can be a hero.
*OMG I NEVER SAW THE TWIST WITH DAPHNE. I never really bought the relationship these two (Daphne and Matt) were supposed to have - it just seemed really hamfisted - given that he saw it in a vision and so OMG I MUST LOVE THIS WOMAN, and I love how Daphne called him out on it and pointed out all the illogic of it, and I NEVER SAW THE TWIST. I shold have, again, but I never saw it coming that it was all in her head and Matt was giving her a decent goodbye. OMG SO SAD AND SYMBOLIC AND EPIC.
*And I loved a lot of the visuals in this episode. I loved Micah and Tracy running through the flooding parking structure, and the visuals of how she froze all the water and herself. And how The Hunter (PRIME DOUCHEBAG EVIL NUTSO OF THE SERIES) just coldly walks up and BLAMS her. But, obviously, she isn't dead. She can like, recoalesce or something. And I loved the visuals with Angela. The camera angles they took when she was on the run, and how she became, virtually, a drowned rat. And I love how she went from being this epic Stephanie Forester I have it all type character to begging for help. Regal begging to be sure, but begging all the same. And I like Angela's friend. I hope she returns.
