All of the Jedi who are hit with this psychosis, if we count Jacen as well, were all members of the Junior Jedi Academy. Who is next? Lowie? Zekk? Maybe even
Ben? As much as it saddens me not to see Kyp in charge, Kenth seems like the most logical choice. Still, Kam always seems to get shafted.

Kam is the Battlemaster, I believe, and one of the Masters in charge of the Jedi Academy. I don't see that as being shafted.

I see Hamner as a consensus candidate, but perhaps little closer to the Corran Horn -led wing of the Jedi Order than Kyp Durron's, if we look at things
from DN point of view. I assume he has good government contacts, is an able administrator and so can run the Order on a day-to-day basis, is respected by other
Masters etc. But an inspiring leader with a vision of his own? No. More like a good lieutenant who Luke might see as a safe pair of hands. And I think he is
that, at least as things are relatively calm.

Somehow, I doubt they will make Ben a victim of Force Rabies. And I would hope that nobody in the class of Young Jedi Knights succumb to
Force Rabies either. I still doubt Jacen had this "disease" at all. It doesn't really make sense if we go off what we have so far.
I too would've loved to see Kam become the acting GM, but I understand why they didn't, and Kenth is a more perfect fit. I merely hope he gets to stand up to the Senate and basically tell them to suck it. My God I pray for such a scene, almost as much as a scene where Jaina verbally lays a smackdown on Daala and credibly proves her point that Daala is a douchebag. |

With Kenth as the boss, him being one of the conservative side, standing out less than even Corran (in terms of radical ideas, disagreeing with Luke, etc.)...
I'm sort of wondering where Kyp is? We haven't heard a word... is he stuck on a world of Mandos in eternal combat, at Daala's command (if
you've seen The One, picture the ending, and you get what's in my mind). Saba and Corran are others I'm wondering about, although I assume
they'll be following Kenth and maybe even helping keep Kyp in line (note that I'm aware Kyp has learned since Dark Nest, and I don't think there
will be a repeat of that).
Maybe Kyp is in one of those fake exiles as a means to help Luke or spy on Daala...

Or maybe Kyp was ruled out as a candidate (in Luke's wisdom) because Daala might be holding a grudge on the guy for taking out one of her crews at Carida.
Or however that went...
*suddenly thinks the JAT would be a good thing to reread in advance of FOTJ*

see i think that daala might have been the one to appoint the next leader of the jedi after luke so she would have choosen a candidate which most lily would
follow her lead

I hope the Sith in Omen crash land on a planet in the Unknown Regions and Luke and Ben travel to this planet to encouter them or unless it's still the
Kathol Rift. Or maybe the Sith do crash land on a planet in the UR and escape from being stranded there for millennia and conquer the galaxy as they did
thousands of years ago. Then my wish may finally be fulfilled. I hope we some cool space battles and lightsaber duels in the UR in FOTJ like in Dark Nest with
Luke & Ben and/or Han & Leia in the Falcon too.

I don't know, I'm just saying... their last adventure is your wish. Or so I thought, at least.
Although it would totally kick everyone in the ass if the main characters were all gone in the second book of the current series.

Why do people assume that a "last adventure" means "they are all going to die"? HoT duology was meant to be the last adventure, so was TUF.

No, no, Iurus--he wants them dead, yes, but only at his convenience (ie--when Stover writes it, and after a big Unknown Regions exploration/war series/book
starring Luke and Ben).
When the world needs him, the warrior Fet'antilles will rise again from the grave.

From Amazon UK agian a brief description of
Omen!!
Luke and Ben Skywalker continue on their quest to learn the ways of non-Jedi Force-users and to try to understand just what went wrong with Jacen Solo that caused him to become a Sith. In the meantime, Han, Leia, and Jaina Solo - along with Jag Fel and the other Jedi - try to deal with the escalating problem of Jedi Knights seemingly going insane... |

I'm still a little confused on the sudden need to find out why Jacen turned. I'm not complaining by any means, just wondering why they are trying to
figure out something that I had assumed they figured out in 9 books.

Publisher's need to produce and sell more books can often cause severe amnesia in characters and retcons in in-universe...
I assume the force rabies is the reason (aka excuse) why they will steal poor Jacen's thunder by re-doing his Force Journey. (Only doing it better than him, of course.) |

No, I know. I had always assumed (Especially in Bloodlines, Exile, and Invincible) that Luke and the others had realized why Jacen had fallen to the Dark Side.
