Posts: 576 09/05/08 9:47 AM	Thanks To bring the subject back to the campaign guide for a second, one thing I have noticed is that they place it at 130 ABY. Could this guide cover the Sith-Imperial War exclusively? Or will it cover the entire Legacy Era of comics? Originally I heard that this would also cover LotF characters and vehicles, that whole definitive look issue But maybe they changed the focus to just the comics.

Posts: 2328 09/05/08 11:42 AM	I think it has to cover LotF in a very minimal way, as a background to Legacy, at least when it comes to the One Sith and the Fel Empire. They can't avoid mentioning LotF utterly because of the One Sith appearances in LotF and the beginning of the Fel Empire and the Imperial Mission in Invincible.

Posts: 3482 09/06/08 1:39 AM	Odds are, it will cover mostly characters and vehicles from the beginning of the Legacy comics as well as one or two introduced in LotF (The bes'uliik comes to mind). Darth Caedus will likely get a short blurb and a stat block, but nowhere near the kind of attention that Krayt or even Nihl will receive. There will also probably be one or two bits of new information (dates of events, and possibly an answer to something that will be revealed in depth in a novel around the same time) as well as a bit of tying together DH/DR confusion. I'm not hoping for anything specific, because they never have the specific thing I want but there's always something cool to make up for it. That, and I doubt I'll buy it soon due to my lack of d20 role-playing colleagues. Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. That's of course understandable as Darth Nihl has had far greater role and impact in EU than Jacen Solo. It would probably be best not to put such an unimportant character among so exalted company and publish the blurb and stats about Jacen just on a website. Roleplayers probably not even want to play with such a character, when they can play with Darth Nihl. After all, if one would put together all panels where we see Darth Nihl in Legacy, it would almost fill a regular issue of Legacy...

Posts: 943 09/07/08 5:46 PM	Campaign guides--like other RPG materials--are sources for all sorts of new information--the KotOR one, for example, includes background information on characters, ships, reveals that Mandalore in the KotOR comics is not the Mandalore from TotJ, but in fact is a fraud. Stuff like that--stuff the rest of the EU doesn't cover because it doesn't help tell the story at hand. At least that's why I look through them. When the world needs him, the warrior Fet'antilles will rise again from the grave.

Posts: 7896 09/07/08 10:21 PM	I know I love some of their sourcebooks like the Ultimate Alien Anthology because they include things the Essential Guides DON'T (like HERGLICS and BARAGWINS) and have images I can easily look at whenever I please and not have to log on to the Internet and journey to the Wookiee to see. I guess I'm a completist and would rather have the original source as opposed to the Wookiee, which, while comprehensive, basically copies what the books have. But that's just me.

But that's just me. another downside to all wikis, they are run by people whom are so bent on control that they contunally go about creating new ranks and new rules to edit a page until it just contains the books cover and price. personally cannot wait for this, treyas is the best. hopefully he figures out ben's hair color this time around.

Granted, some of the characters have appeared in other medium, and a few are EU versions of movie characters, and the sculpting quality gets crappy toward the LOTF series (universally recognized as the worst sculpted series in the game, btw), but I think the point still stands. Posts: 110 10/08/08 10:56 AM	i'm kinda torn, most of the ones i've collected are in tip top shape. my tsavong lah,dark troopers and kotor 2 jedi are all great, but my lumiya's paint job is a bit crappy. so out of like 80 mini's, i can only gripe about 1. and a word to the unknowing on this subject, these minis look ten times better in real life, the photographs on rebelscum and even wizards are crappy.

Posts: 2196 10/08/08 2:38 PM	DLC, I know there are a few gems from the LOTF set (Cade, Krayt, and Talon come to mind), but it has more awkward figures that the usual set. The older lines made the characters look more natural, but by LOTF, some of them look kind of... cartoony. Thus I have fulfilled my obligation to the grand tradition of the fictional jedi council by stating the obvious in a big heap of circular logic, and be no help whatsoever.
