I have a feeling this will be the novel version of Vector, come to think of it.
Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me. |

Exactly like that, Iurus. Star Trek has done stories like this many times, I'm kind of surprised it's taken Star Wars so long to do it too (the closest
I can think of besides Vector is Zahn's Outbound Flight and Survivor's Quest - though those were two separate books).

If the connection between these two time periods in this novel is Ragnos-related, I'd say that we can bank on Katarn-class references here. I
mean, if Marka Ragnos warrants mentions/possible appearances in the GHW time period, then obviously Katarn warrants some references, no?

i placed the link because there's some pretty good speculation going on over there,
maybe some of those convos can spring up over here. |

Agreed; TFN doesn't exactly have the best reputation among fansites, so linking there isn't likely to get anything more than a bit of "Eh...so
what?" response.
When the world needs him, the warrior Fet'antilles will rise again from the grave.

While Fettster has a point, I wanted my comment to be more "Well, if tf.net have such topics that interest you, then WHY NOT START THEM HERE." If
they take off, they take off. If not... at least you tried.

As long as Kyle doesn't die like a chump, I don't care. He has to die sometime. However, I think the main reason why Kyle won't be present is just
because Mr. Kemp wants to flesh out lesser known characters, maybe start playing in his own little playground. I have mixed feelings about authors and their
own pet characters, and it usually comes down to how much I like the specific characters.

And with that, I lost all amount of respect and liking of petersearing. I'd laugh it off if I didn't suspect you were being serious. Thumbs way down.

Well, there's not that many options for big kills in FotJ and there will be some, that's sure. A Jedi Master or two dying is something what I expect,
and there aren't many of those around. So, I wouldn't close Katarn out as a possible future victim of Daala&Mandalorians.

Why can't for once, the Big Deaths be someone *I* don't care about! Boba Fett, I hold no sadness if you died, but I would be sad for your many fans
here. Admiral Daala, you are an awesome psychotic bitch-villain, but Chief of State, you are not! Die! Next!
Waxarn Kel, while not a BIG NAME, is someone who can also go and die. Then, I won't think "wax on, wax off" everytime someone mentions you, you irritating Kyp Durron-but-without-class wannabe. |

But Waxarn Kel wouldn't be a big kill. His death would be a minor affair. And Boba Fett seems to be sadly protected by LFL. And if there will be a Jedi -
Mando war, there sadly has to be Jedi casualties too - and there's not many young Jedi left to be killed, so probably one or two members of the old guard
has to die too. So, I'm guessing that at least one of Corran, Kam, Kyle, Kyp and perhaps Saba won't survive.

So, I'm guessing that at least one of Corran, Kam, Kyle, Kyp and perhaps Saba won't survive.Okay...if Corran dies before Jysella is even written about on screen, I am going to kick some DR butt. It would then cememnt my theory she doesn't exist
I want corran to actually speak about his daughter. And honestly now that the solo boys are gone I would really enjoy reading some brother/sister interaction between Jysella and Valin as well as some heartlfelt sister moments between the antilles girls while their fathers are sitting in the corner trying to keep boys away from them. I think at least one family in the SW universe needs to be "normal". |

I still beleive that Saba should die, denning should write her death, because he never did Alema's. She should die by the One Sith!

Okay I'm going to post this here as well since it pertains to this novel. (I removed the spoilers about Millenium Falcon)
I'm starting to think that the Jaden Korr novel is pivotal in understanding what this awakened threat is. Is it a schism within the Jedi Order like the one that exsisted between Ludo Kresh and Naga Sadow during the Great Hyperspace War? Or is it quite literally the awakened spirit of Marka Ragnos or some other long unseen threat from that era? I'm going to take this one step further, I think Jaden Korr will be a Kel Dor. I think one of his ancestors will be a Baran Do Sage that participated in the Great Hyperspace War. Now according to the essential guide to the Force Jacen never revealed what he learned from the Baron Do sages. I think they warned him of what would come. Bring in Jaden Korr who could be on assignment from Luke Skywalker to find out what the Baron Do told Jacen. |
