I can't think of anything unresolved from Dark Journey. It was a relatively short novel, which in my eyes just ties Star by Star to the Allston duology.
There's a short story that takes place cocurrently with it (and is essential, it would seem, as DJ seemed unfulfilling to me), but as far as I'm aware
there's nothing there either.

I just skimmed the facts thread looking for updates, and maybe we've heard otherwise, but nothing about the blurbs actually confirm Zekk as a character -
"the search for him uncovers something else" - doesn't mean that they find him. "Focuses on the adventures and mis-adventures of Zekk"
to mean screams flashbacks and memories.
Do we know for certain that he'll appear or has this just been assumed by the fans?

"This is Zekk's story and takes place after his mishap in the battle in INVINCIBLE. Yes, he still lives." Being the stickler that I am, I am sure everyone was wondering if that means immediately following INVINCIBLE or if it was going to be after Millennium Falcon in the time line, which is two years later (thats a long time to be floating in space, this isnt 3001: The Final Odyssey). This is how Elaine Cunnigham put it: No, Zekk isn't going to be flash-frozen in the Transitory Mists and thawed out at some later time. The story takes place right after INVINCIBLE; in fact, the prelude starts with the battle in which Zekk goes missing. |

It sounds like we'll be getting some LotF closure in this (if not in MF as well). Good I say, because hearing people complain about LotF has gotten fairly
old. It wasn't great, but it wasn't as terrible as people tend to make it out (for the most part).

Well, we know Tenel Ka and Jaina appear, so I'm assuming they'll come into contact with him. However, it has yet to be determined.

It sounds like we'll be getting some LotF closure in this (if not in MF as well). Good I say, because hearing people complain about LotF has gotten fairly old. It wasn't great, but it wasn't as terrible as people tend to make it out (for the most part).When you have a dry spells in between books, you tend ot focus on what the last book was. Unfortunately it just happened to be Invincible and a lot of people truly thought it was a terrible read. To each his own. I put it in the category of novels that, even though it was not well received, it will be a a book that sticks out in your memory like SbS and Traitor and any of the other EU novels that stand out. It just comes with the territory. And it is also hard to speculate about Blood Oath, MF and even FOTJ without mentioning Invincible becasue these novels are picking up where Invincible left off. That and we have no other solid information. So we talk about the loose ends left from Invicible. Especially since Blood Oath will start right when Zekk goes missing. I personally hope we get the play by play, from Zekk's point of view, from when he goes missing. As much as i want Jaina's perspective on this, I would enjoy getting inside Zekk's brain again. Just to read about what he thinks about Jaina, Jacen going dark, everything. The poor guy has been made to resemble a lovesick puppy when we know he is so much more than that. Wasn't the last book to get his POV a YJK novel? |

if Tenel Ka is in her hot redheaded cousins are, too... ya know, Zekk got new girlfriends... well one of them for now, but who knows when he gets the second,
too :-P well... poor Jaina got only one guy and Zekk nearly two girls now. LOTF was Zekkwise awesome in terms of char development and screentime.
and to me it seems Cunningham (I love her writing style) will always expand and follow Dennings novels... like a good curse hehe she's good at that. I wonder what happens if she and Denning co-write a novel in the future? 1000+ pages eh? PS: I hope we get more short stories with the upcoming novels... ones we all can get and not just hyperspacelers, despite that'd be no prob, too |

I love when long time friends end up down the line being family: Jacen/Jaina/Tenel Ka and now Zekk...hopefully. So he'd go from Jaina's suitor to... Jaina's brother's baby mama's cousin's boyfriend? ... which is actually almost normal for the average Star Wars family.
