But- a lot of the EU is not his work. Why should he have rights over characters that other people have invented?
Suddenly Jacen could see his challenge, and the prospect terrified him. He would have to kill those he most loved. He would have to kill Tenel Ka and his
precious daughter, his Allana. The fact that even the thought of it was tearing out his heart was the terrible proof that it had to be so.
And still he could hardly bear think it. The Yuuzhan Vong thought they knew all there was to know about inflicting pain, but they were beginners compared to this. How could he even think it? Jacen put his right hand to his face and touched it, as if it weren't his own. He felt as if he were standing over by the far wall, watching himself die by degrees. Is it me? Is it really my burden? Yes, Grandfather. It's me. Jacen accepted the burden in its entirety, and his heart- irrelevant, fragile, expendable- broke. ______________________________________________________________________ "Something to remember the next time you decide to play the Hapan game of bloodletting and backstabbing." That is just the way things go. Why should a Super Attendent have control over classrooms when they aren't the teachers and they don't know how it is
in every classroom.

I might have said it wrong, but it is basically the head of a school department.

Do you mean a superintendant? I thought that term was reserved for the police...

Anonymous170694 wrote: From the blurb of MF: But for the Jedi, many of whom had once looked to Jacen Solo for inspiration, the transition has been anything but smooth, as Luke Skywalkerstrives to chart a new course for the Order, and gropes for an understanding of what ultimately drove his nephew to embrace the dark teachings of the evil Sith Lords. From that, I'd say you could have Luke find out about Jacen's thoughts. There's a difference between learning Jacen's thoughts for becoming
Sith, and understanding what made Jacen become Sith. It'd be a tricky balance you'd need to strike, though. Your best bet would be to have him learn
bits and pieces, but not solve the whole puzzle.

So, if Luke realises that Jacen fell to the dark side to save him (or at least that was the final factor), is that OK?

I just want to point out that the main reason he fell was to protect Allana.

No, since he seriously considered sacrificing Allana in Bloodlines, Allana was not the main reason for his fall. She wasn't even the catalyst.
That was Luke. His main reason was to save the galaxy

I think it was both. He was already doing "dark acts" (tradmarked) as far back as Dark Nest, and his first major one coincidentally happened
the first time someone tried to bust a cap in Allana. Also note how just after he fries Grandma Chume for his little girl, he has another Ambiguous Vision
which Jacen interprets to mean he can basically do anything he wants in the name of protecting Allana and galactic peace.
It isn't until years later in Betrayal that Luke even enters the picture at all. Also note that when Jacen first hears the prophecy that he had to kill his greatest love, his thoughts may immediately latch on to Allana, but also notice how he never ever tries to kill her. He tries to work it so he can kill everybody else EXCEPT Allana. Including Luke. Who he originally entered the Sith world to PROTECT. But he mainly saw the Sith as the last alternative to bring about galactic peace so Allana could grow up without war and nasty things. |

So Allana- and all the children of the galaxy would be safe. Thats his rationale for joining the Sith. He never tries to kill Allana because he doesn't
perceive it as correct. Sure, he's blinded by love, and not killing Allana is one of his selfish actions, but his intentions are still good

The Luke visions... they couldn't have contributed to his fall per se, because had he simply arrested Lumiya he wouldn't have been in a situation where
the Luke duels were a likely future. Luke could find out about them, but you have to be a bigger spin expert than a Bothan cult leader to pull that off as the
sole reason for his fall.

They were the catalyst, not the main or only reason for his fall. And I'll just put it from Jacen's diary, that he turned to the Sith to save Luke

If Luke wasn't the main reason, then Jacen didn't turn to the Sith to save Luke. That was when he finally decided- but it was not why.

We attribute WWI to the assassination of the Archduke, and regardless, Luke would be shocked if he found that he was the ultimate factor in Jacen's turn to
the Sith
