I agree with you, X-wingurly. and the Jedi don't work in a vacuum. Besides if there weren't other people in this galaxy the Jedi are always saving,
they could just sit and ohm on the Force all day.
With that said, I think "Fate of the Obscure Characters We Want to Read More About." is a great title for a book. |

Chalk that on the list of book that need to be written. We will throw it along side Jacen's Force trip, x-wing novels in NJO and post NJO as well as one or
2 novels during the time between DN and LOTF. Did I miss anything else?

Rule #3. Always keep at least 1 spare lightsaber for your padawan on your person at all times. You never know when they'll lose them.

I have to say, I'd go for everythin Xwingurly said in this thread.
 Give me the Horn, Celchu and Antilles families and an X-wing and I'm good.
That's all I need from Allston.
That being said, I'm holding out hope for a Post-MF YJK type book. It'd fit the page count and I'd love to see some new meat for side characters. Or even bringing the Horn Jedi into the fold more. And Uliah, perhaps we should start our own thread for our book. I get the feeling there are some other people on this forum who'd like to participate.
You know, its kind of sad that if I were to mention the discussions that go on here to somebody in the real world, they would call me crazy as well as
obsessive and a complete geek/nerd/whatever. Then I come here and discover that I'm way out of my league. Especially when people recall details that I
don't even remember....

I don't see why we can't have series running at concurrent times. Give us something 42 years after the Battle of Yavin as a Jedi book, but then give us
an X-Wing or Mando book during the same time period. Or give us more Tales books. Not every year in galactic history has to be so uber involved.

I got the impression there was gonna be a big rush into the New Order, but the only novels that I'm aware of are this Coruscant trilogy I know nothing
about, Dark Lord, and The Force Unleashed, so I don't know what the plans are. Maybe that's what "Fate of the Jedi" means.

the big "New Order" push is being held back because of the Live action series, I beleive.
I can't entirely deny that my recent grumpiness is from a lack of getting laid.

Who else thinks that maybe the Fate of the Jedi book is set as a follow up to the Legacy comics?
Suddenly Jacen could see his challenge, and the prospect terrified him. He would have to kill those he most loved. He would have to kill Tenel Ka and his
precious daughter, his Allana. The fact that even the thought of it was tearing out his heart was the terrible proof that it had to be so.
And still he could hardly bear think it. The Yuuzhan Vong thought they knew all there was to know about inflicting pain, but they were beginners compared to this. How could he even think it? Jacen put his right hand to his face and touched it, as if it weren't his own. He felt as if he were standing over by the far wall, watching himself die by degrees. Is it me? Is it really my burden? Yes, Grandfather. It's me. I also think that it is unlikely, for we have yet to see what leads up to the comics or how it ends.

Not even close...Legacy comics are still going strong.

I'm personally putting my (faint) hope on that Untitled SW Game Novel, that it would be KOTOR novel. But apparently a kind of consensus is that it's a
novelization of that coming game with Count Dooku and the Nightsisters (that would be a decent name for a band, by the way... Count Dooku and the
Nightsisters.
 ) That said, I would be pleased if Fate of the Jedi
would be revealed to be an OR, pre-TPM novel.

There have been a lot of rumors about the KOTOR3 game, and if I remember correctly it was going to possibly be a MMO. If thats the case, then this book could give us fans the story we want without going to play the Star Wars version of World of Warcraft. |

The problem with the game novel being tied to a possible new KOTOR game is that Bioware's super secret MMO - which some of the Star Wars Galaxies folks are
involved in doing - is not going to come out until 2010.
