I just forgot.... There is a black hole just off the Hydian Way and in the general vicinity of Dathomir. Whether this means something or nothing only time will tell.

What's the point in unlabeled samples, kind of defeats the purpose of samples.

I may be dragging this out to long I'm studying to work in hospitals as an Occupational Therapist, the idea of unmarked tubes of people is wrong in my mind lol

Surely if you took blood samples you'd write on them who's they were. And a search of the manifest would tell you who was jedi, or we'll finally get a use for those dam midicholrians.

Outbound flight wasn't destroyed, it crash landed. Most of the crew survived and were picked up shortly before the vong war.

uness blood samples on the flight when it was destroyed where physical transported by thrawn or some one then its impossible the samples cant just float to there

Just a thought. Blood samples were taken from all Jedi having being involved with Outbound Flight, including Anakin Skywalker. Outbound Flight was destoyed by the Chiss under Thrawn. There were force sensitive survivors still living the last time I checked the book. The blood samples could have made it to the Maw, where someone like Tarkin would work on something to destroy the force. So Daala would know....

And the New Jedi Order can be construed as a rich man's Independence Day (because NJO was better). And the Killiks are poor man's Borg. And Luke Skywalker is Flash Gordon.

I know others have expressed these similarities to the Halo storyline, but if they can tell a decent enough story out of it in relation to Star Wars, does it matter? A lot of stories are derivative of each other because if you boil all the stories ever told down to their base...

Maybe this thing in the Maw is so evil, its like it owns the trademark to evil. And when Jacen encountered it, he couldn't stop/kill it outright, so he tried to impose part of his own psyche on it to neuter it. And now the thing is trying to.... get Jacen out of its system, so its flicking bits of him into Jedi who were in the Maw..??

If it's the thing in the Maw doing it, then why is implanting Jacen-like Force powers on them? And why only one particular talent per target? The fact that it is 'so far' targeting the Jedi children who were in the Maw lends to the credibility of the Maw thing being the culprit. If for some reason this thing had an encounter with Jacen, maybe a battle even, one that Jacen won or 'thought' he won, perhaps somehow he imprinted a part of himself on the creature, and so when...
