front page not working

when i click on my favourites link for NJOE which should take me to the front page i get a message saying the link couldnt be found and to get to the forums i have to search through google

This is probably a Brad-related question but I'm having trouble with the RSS feed on the homepage. I'm using FeedDemon 3.0 to collect and browse through RSS feeds (the forum feed works fine), and the NJOE home page does not seem to work. I get a message stating that the program is "Unable to locate feed. If this site has a feed, either it's invalid or it could not be auto-discovered."

Any idea what's going on with it?

How do we get those cool words and HTML pics and stuff under the line at the bottom of our posts? I have been around for a while (though not many posts to show for it) and have always wondered where those come from... Anyone? Anyone want to help? please?... with a cherry on top... no? with a cherry on bottom?

Okay, since yesterday (late), NJOE has appeared on my computer rather screwed up. I'm... not sure how to describe it. Like, nothing is in order, and everything is err... vertical (what would be side by side is now up and down). Also, LC doesn't appear as a separate small window when I click on it. I'm also not getting any options on the reply screen (font, size, etc.). I don't think it's the Internet, because I have the latest version of IE. And it just started last night...

Reading a Karen Traviss thread, I started thinking... what authors have we talked about the most here at NJOE? What one, specifically?

Well, I don't have the latter answer. Via a site-wide search, I came up with several results that maxed out the possible amount of results. But before I start the tie-breaker, I'm willing to share my results as to the top mentioned authors in the NJOE forums.

Note: 1000 is the maximum number of results....

Front Page Countdown

So I was looking through my calendar yesterday and I realized that we're less than a month from Abyss. And that got me thinking; shouldn't the countdown on the front page be counting down the the remaining time? Just wondering.

Just a suggestion, but for the next comic related purchasing poll how about a TPB option? Personally I'm excited for Invasion, but I don't buy comics in single issue form anymore, don't have the time or money, so a "I'm excited but will wait for the TPB" option would have worked for me.

Great job with the new site. Updates, revisions, new content, the ID partnership... that, and Acky seems to be in hyperdrive today, because everything I see or mention seems to be addressed within seconds, which may or may not be coincidence.

So great job, and on behalf of NJOE, thanks for all the hard work.

In the most dramatic redesign in years and certainly the most restructure/refocusing the site has ever gone through, the latest version of NJOE has come online tonight. It's still a work in progress - for clarity's sake, Brad and I opted to just make the whole site live rather than trying to work off a back-up copy in another part of the server... as such many Encyclopedia Content areas are still off line and a couple pages still need filling out... but what you can get a taste of is...

So across the last 24-ish hours every time I actually LOG IN to NJOE and go through random threads these random advertisements are in certain threads. Its annoying. I've noticed some of the ads are from/for Google and they're all kinds of irritating because they stretch the page out or condense the text into these

Instead of being regular sized like this. Is anyone else having this problem? Is it me or is it some random sickness that Yuku...

As the world of the NJO (and beyond) expands with the upcoming releases of Fate of the Jedi: Outcast and Star Wars: Invasion, the time has come for NJOE to evolve into the next era of web development and content. The staff and I are busy working out the early stages of what's essentially becoming NJOE 3.0. Features of the new NJOE are going to include:

Can't get on Yuku

In an hour I'm going back to my laptop... where I can't get on here. I can read PMs when an email brings me there, but that's about it.

Any idea what I might need to fix it? Would this need a Flash reader or anything else I might not have yet?

I'm starting to think something's wrong with my Windows, as I'm having trouble installing some things as well.

Can we do these for a poll? (Pretty please)

Over in the Matthew Stover interview thread, Stover mentioned how as well as writing he has a nine to five day job. And he's mentioned this before. Now, he's never said what it is, and I don't think he'd answer if people asked (or maybe he has and no one told me!), but this got me wondering. What the holy heck does Matthew Stover do for a regular job? What job is worthy of Matthew Stover?

Possible problem with Live Chat

I've noticed that on the forums main page that the online chatter list for the Live Chat is remaining blank even when people are in the room.
